    Disaster

Update 12/29/2014: My inventory has been restored. I want to thank Trion customer service for taking the time to fix my mistake in a timely and gracious manner -- and this is not the first time you have done so! I know you all are very busy, so it is much appreciated! I also want to thank forum members and clannies for their excellent suggestions and offers of temp weapons and shields for me to use. You all know who you are!

Some how I managed to delete my inventory. Disaster for me. I am posting this here in hopes that the in-game team will see the post and be able to do something before it's too late. Happened sometime between 10 and noon today Pacific time.

I'm pretty sure that nothing can be done. Why is there an option to salvage your entire inventory anyway? The odds of it actually being done on purpose have got to be 10,000 to 1.

The option exists for those of us that Know enough to use the favorite system to save the things we do not want to salvage/sell and go out collecting anything and everything to either mass breakdown for salvage or mass sell for script.

I didn't realize that it doesnt scrap your favorites in the mass salvage. I'd never tried it. In that case.. I ask Sevrin why you did not favorite anything??

I've never used the mass salvage system I'm afraid it may glitch up and scrap my precious grindfragger.

Favoriting everything makes it a pain in the neck to adjust loadouts quickly. The "sell all" button should follow the same rarity filters as the mass breakdown function, that would solve most of the problem I think.

Thanks everyone for your thinking here. Actually I should amend my original post to say I lost all my inventory except for about 25 favorites. I didn't have everything in favor because of what Dixie said and because some very good guns were waiting to be promoted to OJ. I also lost a jackpot wildcat which definitely should have been on the favorite list. Probably regret the loss of the hoarded mods as much if not more than the lost weapons and shields. Oh yea, lost some OJ nades too.

Maybe you accidentally used the "sell all" option, if that was the case, go to any vendor and check the "buy back" tab, some of it may still be there

I don't know how live chat is these days, but back when arktech first came out I did something similar. I unfavorited a bunch of things to get them at the bottom of my inv and then did something else and forgot about them. then I salvaged it all. they were able to revert my character to a previous save. I lost a day or so of stuff I had picked up, but that was easy to write off compared to the items I got back.

again, this was pre-ftp on 360, so not sure how all that would work now with needing a recent purchase to get live chat and with it being a holiday. also not sure how often they log those backups or how long they keep them.

    good luck.

Favorite does not make changing load outs any more difficult it actually makes side to side comparison easier as you can see if a new drop is better or worse or somewhere in between all favorites that you already have decided to keep.
If you can't take the time to favorite items then ignore the second confirmation on the sell or salvage all well the loss is yours the mistake is yours not Trions and they should not restore anything due to laziness.
