    How about next time saying that sooner ? I have been trying to log on, nothing. Went through your support website page and did as indicated, nothing. I then re-downloaded the game client, nothing. Than I come here to ask what the heck is going on and I finally see a post here.

    Guys, have someone do a night shift, you're a multi-million USD$ corporation and not "Aunt Joanne's grocery store"....

    just 1 more hour and they will have a release date for FF14, glad i had something to stay up for other than a game i bought DL and couldnt play

    Try around 3AM CDT got stuck in a endless loading server message

    Just tried a minute ago around 4:50AM CDT no luck got hit with critical message

    Would be nice to know an estimate on time though. Haha I got lucky to get off early only to servers have been down. I'm a sad devil pup this morning. Working gy shift and get excited to play. Thanks for update though!

    You do relize they work 24/7, and they run what 4 games now...

    while you fix defiance, can you look for my character too please she went missing from my system last time i tryed to log in. was so upset i hit the power button on my 360 instead of backing out then turning it off.

    As said before, better late than never.

    I am a bit disappointed, as many others are. The game presents itself as a A / B -list title, but seems to suffer indy-level setbacks.

    Server uptime is a crucial to such a project. I'm shocked that the stakeholders don't have a 24-hour disaster plan in place for this otherwise smooth launch.

    This lends to the notion that the back-end support is lacking; which in turn lends to the notion that that this isn't the A / B list project that it presents itself as.

    Regardless of back-end issues, communication is key. Perception = value. If you've been working on the issue for 3 hours, but fail to tell the end-users, you've made -zero- attempt to correct a failed state. I'd wager that a simple forum post at the onset of the issue would mitigate much hate. (There's not much you can do about the ritalin-sniffers... there's always "that guy"...)

    Focus more on the overall scope and direction of a project. In this case, it's delivering an experience to gamers. Gamers who seek to play 99.9% of the time during scheduled uptime.

    tl; dr: Posting a "We know there's a problem" message right away shows that this is a high-end game. Failing to do so; vice-versa.

    well if they are under man hire more people. i understand launch of any MMo like this wil have this stuff going on .. but the golden key is communication people want to know whats going on and for how much longer.
