Just curious, as im pretty sure many others would like to know.

I bought the game on ps3, pc, and 360 but i've yet to see it work on any 3 platform due to server instability to unexplainable extents (this time being servers going offline).

Just curious because im on the verge of returning my 360 and ps3 copys (the hard copies that are) digital copies have no refunds (pc). As i preference to play a functional working MMO that worked on day one (examples like C&C4, Guild wars, Eve Online, Everquest, Ragnarok Online, Mu Online) can be a primary examples. Those are just ones i've played from personal experience during their first few days of launch, and they were servers that didnt crap out. And THEY were prepared server systems at the very least, functional.

Many things have yet to be working

    Like...

For one pre-order content. I've yet to see pre order content be fully given to users or rewarded with pre-order codes for those of us who did preorder..

I've yet to see pre-order codes that were issued working due to wonderful server side errors (that weren't prepaired for the workload to begin with*).

I've yet to see compensation for players who paid with their hard earned money, get any form of compensation other than "whoops we weren't expecting this" and "blah blah blah went wrong" etc... and be given any form of clarity on when the issue will actually be resolved*

Oh another issue of MMO... Would be DUST 514 which DID work despite how unstable their servers were, at least they worked enough to login and play.

Anyone wanna lodge your two cents in, you know, vent, complain and ask why? Why weren't such a "big prepared" gaming company like Trion fully prepared to handle such a fiaso of launch? I mean after all were all entitled to playing a game we all spent money on (to purchase of course)*
Someone punch him in the face. give me your paypal account ill give sixty dollars to film yourself smashing this game, and to never play it again.

I've played the game quite alot and im quite fond of it> What im not fond of is, a server system thats not prepared for this sorta ordeal, and their idea is "oh we will notify you" insanely late notification, no monitoring of forums( thati 've seen) that reassure the customer(s) aka us, that their working on it. No hint, or idea of what did cause the down time, or what lead to it (not even remotely admitting to not being prepared like say... not enough servers, not enough bandwith, improper server configs) etc... you know things like that.

I say compensation for making all of us wait, spend our hard earned money on a game, that is barely working on DAY ONE, And still to this very day so far, unfunctional. I'd love to see you all list MMO's that had such a rocky start, at this level of inconvinence work.

    Edit:

You pay for a game to play, not to wait around, and twaddle your thumbs. Or am i incorrect in this thinking?

Rift is generally considered to be one of the most successful, if not the most successful launch in mmo history. It was most certainly not deemed a failure by anyone other than trolls and Blizzard employees (which are not mutually exclusive mind you) and has been used to measure the success of other MMO releases.

No problems for me, got the game yesterday, installed (360) and patched up in the morning, played most of the evening, got all my pre-order and arkhunter gear and had a blast.

    Just sayin'

Mu Online, Dust 514 alpha, and beta builds, and then "Final beta" builds.

Would be nice if everyone that is having the xp and script bonus wasted right now if we would get some back. If you ordered the standard edition you got a 3 day bonus, CE and UE got 7 day bouns, and Digital Deluxe got 30 days. How about adding days back or giving an in game boost since you can buy in the shop.

Not interested in it. But i feel The new C&C 5 series will be interesting to play, to bad its not a fully public MMO yet.

I had a bunch of snide, smarmy, condescending comments, but that's poor form for a first post.

In general, you'll only see compensation in situations where you're paying to play, while we all purchased the game, we're not paying monthly to play, so there isn't an expectation to be compensated for downtime, which is generally done by extending the paid portion of the game out, there isn't really an easy way to compensate us in the first place.

In the first few months of WoW, I had a bunch of free days, because if they were down for a few hours, they'd extend everyone's game time by a day, But when the servers are down in Diablo III, I'm just told they'll be up soon.

I've bought the game at midnight at release and I've played a bunch, I'm a little PO'd it's down, and that there isn't really an effective communication about it, but I don't think there is an expectation of compensation.
