Compensation?

if you can name me one game that had a successful launch as a MMO title, I will concede this little debate.

RIFT... Made by Trion. ... Do you understand why people would have such high expectations? I can not play the game. One of the starter missions is bugged for me and i can not complete it. It is preventing my moving forward with quests, and with the story itself. fundimental starter gear is not being given to me as I am unable to complete the missions the set me up with this basic equipment.

Perhaps not everyone is having an issue, but for people like me who are, its frustrating, and a massive let down to see Trion launch a game as if they were SOE or EA. If you refunds are in order or communication about a fix. If i bought a new car, I would not settle for, the AC doesn't work because you have only owned it for one day.

I am not scheduled for work tomorrow and if I am unable to play for a 4th day, I'm getting my money back and Trion can place my unwanted product in an uncomfortable place, like the back of a Volkswagen.

Dont see why your moaning really, i payed for the UE of the game and wont be getting it to the 12th due to namco bandai not being able to supply just deal with it **** happens and then all is good...

You do not invest money in a video game, you just spend money on it. You can invest time, the return being enjoyment. If you arent enjoying it, stop investing your time. Also there is no sub, so what exactly do you want as compensation? your money back? ask for a refund I guess /shrug

That being said, ive had no problems playing whatsoever on the PC version, minus the down times they've told us about. Got all my pre-order stuff on day 1.

Outside of that PC if you really are able to handle it, me i rarly try the pc to version to unstable for my tastes, with a i7 that struggles even though i lock all 7 threads to the process, and then 1 thread allocated to all other unnecessary tasks (ex: explorer, host, scvhost* etc...)

Your complaining is hilarious, your writing terrible and you try to appear being a smartass regarding systems and hardware, yet the quoted part here means the opposite. The game runs flawlessly on PC and any idiot claiming a console is better in a FPS game, outta have his feet chopped off.
I run Defiance on a Core i5 (this is a series lower than your i7, just to explain, as you're still rather green) and the only issues I've seen in the game has been lag during the major arkfalls as the server got stressed. If your computer fails to do so, then I'd suggest you scan it for malware or virus due to **** surfing.

There is no reason to offer refund in this game. We can argue about the people who have the BITS boosts, but I'm sure Trion will look into this when the servers are used to all the punishment.
Related to your list of MMOs, then you either remember poorly or just want to troll Defiance. I played Rift from beta and into the launch, and despite it was a good launch, it still had some hicup issues.
EVE Online several times had expansion issues, and hell...some of us even managed to screw the server up because we overloaded a node during Fleet fights.

As for Borderlands being an MMO for 1-4 players, I can only imagine that the first M "Massively" then has to do with the size of the players involved?

OMFG!!! People stop whining!! The game hasn't even been out a week yet...it is the first multiplatform MMO...they are trying their damnest to get all issues worked out...and Borderlands 1 & 2 ARE NOT MMOs!!! They are FPS's with CO-OP 1-4 people...not 1-10000

Check your facts! This game is not the first "multiplatform MMO" Final fantasy online was available on both the PS2 and the Xbox 360. And it didn't have these issues. It supported 1- to over 10000 players. People are allowed to have an opinion and voice their disappointment. Quit being such a fanboy of what is a clearly flawed game launch. And check your facts before you speak on issues you are obviously uninformed about.
