Are the beta codes you get with pre-orders seperate from the actual code at launch?

Question in title above. The reason I ask is that I have a friend who wants to play in the upcoming beta, and as I already am in the beta, would like to know if I can give my friend the code I received from pre-ording the game.

DO NOT GIVE THAT CODE AWAY... That code is your proof to trion of your pre-order and with that code you get all your pre-order items. If you give that code away you wont get any of the pre-order items when the game launches

The codes ARE different. However, that 'beta' code is actually a PRE-ORDER code. So you'd be giving away all of your new toys along with the code, as Viciouz mentioned.

Check your PM's. I sent you information on where to get one for him.

For anyone that was interested, I pre-ordered the digital deluxe edition. It seems that the code I recieved was actually for the full version of the game, as it came up as "Defiance PC Digital Deluxe Edition Nexway" in the name column.
