Well in light of all the downtime and the numerous impatient whiners are complaining. And so I thought I would just do a Tarot Card reading for Defiance, both to help kill time and to help some of the immature ones grow up a Little. I dont care if people believe in the power of tarot cards or not. Take its advice or dont, doesnt matter to me. But it should give something to think about at least. So here goes. Btw I am Using the "Steampunk Tarot" Deck.
1) Situation: (The High Priestess) Aviatrix Reversed): Secrets and problems are revealed in a rather untimely or embarressing manner, People are feeling hemmed in and blocked by those on the outside. Information is being hidden and will take time and patience to uncover. The problem isnt being helped because people are unwilling to trust thier intuition, unable to see beyond thier own views.
2) Why the question was asked/Additional information): Moon Voyage (The Moon) Reversed): This shows the people working are doing thier best under physical and mental exhaustion, thier attempts to fix the problem are not working as it should so they are trying to find new ways of doing things. Moon Voyage reversed also seems to imply that there is too much focus on the smaller details. This is suggesting perhaps it is time to take a step back and rethink the proccess.
3) Outside Influence/Opinion: Emperor/The Emperor: This seems to give the impression that others are being too domineering, demanding too much. Things will happen in thier own time, and no amount of whining and complaining, harrassing and insulting the developers will make the situation resolve any faster. The Emperor can be fair and just, but the emperor can also be demanding and authoritarian, which then turns the emperor into a tyrant.
4) Advice: The Comet (The Star) Reversed): This is again suggesting that the way things are going are leading only to negavity. People will repress thier emotions after abuse or ingratitude. And following every little sign will only lead to disappointment. Take a step back and look at the broader picture.
5) Likely Outcome: 8 of Airships (Swords): The way out is still unclear, and rushing forth while unable to find the source of the problem will only lead to disaster, Take a moment to clear your mind, wipe the fog from your glasses and more information comes in to find a more definitive answer. Wait for the fog to clear and show you the way out of the fog. Trying to force yourself forward blindly will only lead to destruction.
6) Final Comment/Advice: Two of Leviathans (Pentacles) Reversed): The two of leviathans reversed can show problems with getting a financial endeavor off the ground. More than likely being spread too thin by trying to do too much at once. Different viewpoints competing with one another can cause material problems. Trying to do too much at once, means that some things will get more attention than others which can cause further problems. Delegate tasks and find ways to manage the many tasks you are juggling, some of them may have to be let go for the project as a whole to succeed. You cant keep everyone happy, Move too fast and you will fall over, Move too slow and it will be harder to keep upright. Move at the pace you feel is right, do not allow others to hem you into a corner with unrealistic demands.
Anyways Sorry for the wall of text, thats what I got from the reading. A little advice for both the Dev team as well as anyone else watching. Take from it what you will, believe it or dont. I said my piece. The cards were laid down at random.
