On Xbox when you press down on the directional pad a menu opens with AREA, GRP, TEAM & EGO. What is this for? I cannot use any of theses options. What is this menu for exactly? Thanks!

Its the different chat selections
I believe that's for typing out stuff. So if it's set to area, everyone in that area will see what you said
If you form each one of those groups you'll be able to chat in that certain box. So for the most part everyone can type in area chat, if you form a group, you'll be able to press Down and select GRP chat. If you have a clan, you can then chat in there and so on.

If you press Left/Right on the Dpad, it will open up extra options. One is to form groups and send invites to friends or people near you. Just select either friend or people near and then press right again, while highlighting that option and it will further expand the menu's allowing you to send invites and so on.Originally Posted by Seanboy21
The EGO chat room is so you can issue Kinect commands. Others are the appropriate chat channels.
