I believe ya .. just didn't know it happened, not sure how long it's been that way, only noticed it the other day for the first time.
I mean it could had always been like that, just never took note it was 5250, and not 4750

Could've sworn my low ego toon on NA servers got only buffed to 4.750 in Silicon Valley during an Arkfall. But it's only around Ego 500 or so.
Is the scaling in SV different for different events?

It seems that way. There was a post on it a little while back, but it got swept back to like page 4 pretty quickly. I am guessing it is either based on events, or how many high egos are around, or more likely a bleed-through bug, from a patch that they are working on. It wouldn't be the first time, that's happened.

If the threat level gets high, I usually shift my focus from killing to working with the team. An example of this is using an elec nano to down shields or using a bio nano weapon to remove armor plates. Or use a decoy to bring the aggro off players so they stay alive a bit longer.

Anyway, back on point, I don't know if I'm lucky, but with my three characters (5900, 4300, and 3500 ego level respectively and approximately) which I do Major Solstice Strike ark falls with during the whole event since day one, I have had only two fails: one being a massacre from the start because too few people and then too many left; and the other I arrived too late to find out what went wrong because it timed out just as I got there! Could be I'm just a lucky kitty, but I don't think that was the reason!

I'm a member of a pretty big clan, Team Evolution, and we do clan calls for those special ark falls, so those who want to, which are most of us who are online in the game, can teleport to those who have scouted ahead and found them! Many of us group with lower level characters so if they go down, it's easier to find and revive them, and we are never afraid to T-out if we go down and are swamped, so as not to endanger our compatriots or anybody else who might try to revive us, then teleport to a clan mate who is still there!

We use the tactics of taking out Bombers-Troopers-Viscera as discussed elsewhere in this thread, but also fire from around the outer sides of the ark fall, catching the Volge in the crossfire! Also, if the numbers get too great, we rally around one of the ammo boxes or a spike and watch each others' backs! it helps if you have Team Speak or one of the other audio communicators, but most of our clan don't although almost all the officers do, but follow suggestions on our clan chat or follow the lead of those who are on Team Speak! I know that when I'm on my 5900 character, who is a Team Evolution officer, I'm constantly watching the little radar at the top of my screen, and if I see a blinking blue or green cross, I immediately head there to the rescue (I have GREAT shields), although I'm often beaten there by a fellow clan mate. Needless to say, if I run into a purple blinking cross, I'll revive them too, but my buddies come first!

There are a lot of benefits to being part of a clan, and having backup is just one, but that discussion is on another thread!
