    Xbox 360 Status Update?

So, I can log in to my character and roam about the world. However, whenever I try to interact with anything, stuff just doesn't work. NPC in story missions are disappearing, loot won't pick up, enemies appear to be running away but still melee attack from about 30 meters, vehicle makes the spawn sound but doesn't actually spawn, my social/clan interface is empty, etc etc.

I understand that there have been unforseen issues, moreso on the Xbox platform, but when should I expect to be able to play the game proper? Are the server crashes eluded to in the dev blog causing all of these sync issues? Or is it something more?

Yea, the servers are up. But, the game is pretty unplayable for me right now.
    • Story Missions Aren't Working
    • Character takes damage from projectiles that aren't anywhere near me.
    • Spawn while taking damage from same enemies I fought who appear to be miles away
    • NPCs are running in place. General lag.
    • Quick Menu does not display option to invite friends to groups

So, I think I'm going to just stop playing for a couple of days. Hopefully, when I come back, most of the issues will be fixed. I'm a patient customer and I understand the implications of launching a multiplatform MMO. However, that doesn't make my gameplay experience any less frustrating. So, I just have to stop for now.

Well, it's interesting to see how yet another game developer has grossly underestimated the strain on a server farm that millions of online players can provide. One would think that, going by past experiences, it would be well established that a very great number of Xbox players would be buying and playing this game.

We are, essentially, a large group of beta+ testers for this game. The servers keep melting down at an alarming rate.

I imagine that they have to keep us playing in order to keep the strain on the servers to see how they are crashing out, but it can be pretty frustrating. As an old PC game player and now a console player, I have been a bit spoiled by just putting in a disc and playing the game. This harkens back to my PC days, and makes me appreciate the simplicity of the console experience.

I'm glad Trion is on this, because they are running the risk of giving this game a rotten reputation among Xbox players, who tend to be an impatient lot anyway. I am trying to be understanding and forgiving of the downtime and weird server glitches, but I do want to play this game---it's why I bought it in the first place. I know it's a sort-of new thing on the Xbox, but I hope these server issues get solved pretty quickly.
