I plan to take my time. I'll probably do a few missions and go try and do some side stuff while adding in some PvP. I'm not a grinder, so I'm not interested in speeding through everything myself.

I have had such bad luck on opening / launch days that I am just going to wait for the tide to let down and then log in a day or so later. The servers usually are better with less lag and more 'space'. Although this is usually because a (or several) new servers had to be opened for the players. I am not looking for another 16 hour wait to play, not kidding, 3 hour install/update, 7 hour log in, time out error, took 6 hours to go back in.

Yeah, I've watched this game since E3 when they announced it, but only recently joined the community.

Not the best example, but I remember getting on Lego Universe the day it opened. Tons of kids were everywhere, chat was spammed to the core, and you could group any mission easily, as it is for the opening day for most MMOs. I will probably do the first few missions in Defiance as quickly as possible, but then slow down and just enjoy the game.

I'm with you. I trying to "encourage" some friends to get them game. I'm not sure what's keeping them away. They seem to like similar games??
