I guess my internet magically figured out it doesn't want to play this game, considering I've had zero issues with any other online game... outside of Guardians of Middle Earth, but lets be serious who hasn't had problems with that turd of a game. Played numerous other MMO games with zero issues. (Wow, Champions of Regnum, Runes of Magic, EQ, EQ 2, FF 11, Anarchy Online, Rift, etc etc etc etc) All with no issues, yet this game.... na clearly the connection issues everyone is having must be on our side.... You know who else tries to fling that crap Guardians of Middle Earth, go look how that turned out 3 months later... The connection issues are still out fault, even though people have proven time and time again with testing it's not our fault but their crappy host migration system.

i use to word in an all encompassing way, such as people crying about not being able to play the game 2 days before launch, or people constantly *****ing about things they shouldve KNOWN WERE GOING TO HAPPEN. its the second damn day, of a pretty big undertaking, and people still dont get it. I show up to try and show some support for Trion, and i get petty and quite frnkly patronizing responses, splitting hairs essentially. I stand by my opinion that Trion did a great job, and people need to shut up whinging. For every two people complaining, theres one person in love with the game, its a matter of patience.

Trion didnt come up with any ideas.... 2k Games did when they made Borderlands..... The only thing Trion came up with is a way to implement micro-transactions into the Borderlands framework. I'd be ok with that if it were at least a finished product instead of the lazily glued-together student project that it is. So congratulations Trio, you have successfully figured out how to charge people money. I paid you $100 to play a game, who's only functionally sound feature is the in game store. Should have released it on the first because i feel like a fool.

The amount of people that seem to have no idea how the game works is staggering. It annoys me to see all the hard work and effort trion put into making such a great game, and such a great idea, just to see it get bashed by people with this weird mentality that Trion owe them the world on a silver platter because the game doesnt run perfectly on day one. The guys are clearly working very hard to please everyone, and i think some people are treating them very unfairly. I enjoy being part of this community, i really do, but its disheartening to see so many posts about headstarts, and compensation, and free **** to make up for stuff that was inevitable anyway. Stop bashing, start appreciating what they tried to do.
If i've come across as a self righteous *******, i'm sorry, but i just think that people need to grow up a little bit, and most of all learn to have some god damn patience.
Also, I'm up and running on xbox (UK) if anyone would like to join me.
Not sure how i feel entitled if all i want to do is play the same game you are able to play right now.

I can't even DL the fricking client.

If you were not able to play the game you would never had made this ridiculous post.

Actually, as customers, we have a right to a game that should be relatively smooth and bug free, but instead, we have a half-baked game that most people can hardly play online thanks to ALL MANNER of problems, whether it be disconnects/critical errors, patching problems, or just horrendous lag and ghost mobs. Customers pay for a product that -should- be in good shape. Defiance isn't.

What you're calling entitlement, is actually an incorrect use of the world. Entitlement implies that customers or buyers are clamoring for something they think they deserve just because of reason x, and in this case it would be 'bought the game.' But it's not entitlement; it's a right to a neat, well-developed product that actually works, and is playable. I've had Defiance since the morning of the 2nd, and I've barely played it because my game disconnects me frequently, and after it does, I have the well-known 'critical' error, which doesn't allow me to log back in, even if I restart my xbox or sign in and out of my gamertag.

I paid good money for a product that went THROUGH an alpha, beta, and plenty of bug-testing, and this retail launch of Defiance is the result? It's pretty pathetic that most of these issues haven't been solved or looked into yet, and Trion is really slow on the uptake. I'm not saying that Defiance is a bad game at all, and in fact I rather enjoy it; but the current state of their MMOFPS gem is pretty piss-poor and they need to do something about it before they start losing customers.

Complaining about this product, which is pretty lack-luster in terms of it's current state, and what it SHOULD be like - especially thanks to how they advertised with many emails saying 'hey, thanks for the bug-testing. with your help, this game is going to be immaculate at launch' - is pretty terrible, and not entitlement at all.

The game needs some serious TLC to get to where it needs to be. If it doesn't, then it's going to lose plenty of customers on different platforms.
Is this your FIRST MMORPG? Please list other launches you have had the "Pleasure" of dealing with please??? Since you seem sooo knowledgeable about the industry and what we should ALL expect from Trion.

I understand what youre saying, but i find it hard to relate because luckily i havent really had any issues, other than a huge patch time. That isnt me rubbing it in your face either.

I most likely would have, because i actually possess the ability to wait and be patient.

The only thing we 'knew' was going to happen was lag problems.

What other MMO at launch has you getting killed, respawning, and getting killed again by enemies that shoot through the terrain and the world, no matter where you are? What other MMO has prevented your vehicle from spawning? What other MMO is completely incompatible with your internet, disconnecting your constantly while you're trying to do stuff?

I haven't had these problems with any other game at launch, and the amount of people playing isn't to blame. Trion is to blame, solely for the fact they've done next-to-no bug testing in BETA, and that embarrassment of a closed beta wasn't enough to test the game. There's also the fact that any OTHER company would've been aware and on-top of these issues in the first day. Trion hasn't patched since the first day, and these problems still run rampant.

I'll be happy with the game when I can log in, see people, spawn my vehicle, play it, and actually PROGRESS.
