"I'm just going to say how disappointing it is to see so many people complaining about various aspects of Defiance."
It's called being a consumer, when you buy something, you expect it to work as advertised. When it doesn't work you have every right to complain.
"Be it server upsets, patching troubles or, god forbid, having to wait until the game is released officially to be be able to play it."
When you buy an online only game, you kind of expect servers to work, not to have troubles patching the game, and when paying full price for the game you expect it to work. What do you mean released officially. The game is available for purchase both in retail stores and online. That means it was officially released.
"The amount of people that seem to have no idea how the game works is staggering."
Most people don't know how the game works because it's a glitch, laggy, buggy unstable mess.
"It annoys me to see all the hard work and effort trion put into making such a great game, and such a great idea, just to see it get bashed by people with this weird mentality that Trion owe them the world on a silver platter because the game doesnt run perfectly on day one."
Hey Slap happy, this isn't the first day, isn't today the 2nd day? Also nobody says Trion owes them anything, other than a non buggy, glitch, unstable game.
"The guys are clearly working very hard to please everyone, and i think some people are treating them very unfairly."
Make and release a game that isn't unstable, buggy and glitchy and people will be happy. You release a shoddy, unstable game you deserve to be criticized until those issues are resolved.
"I enjoy being part of this community, i really do, but its disheartening to see so many posts about headstarts, and compensation, and free **** to make up for stuff that was inevitable anyway."
I'll say and do what I want, until they get the game stable, working as intended, not glitchy, not buggy, and generally working as intended. As for free stuff, I haven't seen anyone suggest that, I've only seen people angry about the game not working as intended.
