All that means is that we can't sue them for the issues we are having. People CAN and WILL ask for refunds if they don't fix the problem. Also, regardless of any legal mumbo jumbo they put up protecting them from lawsuits, if you can PROVE you aren't getting what you paid for, you can always find a way to get your money back for it, unless the company in question wasn't real, or goes bankrupt.
I promise you, both APB when it was under real time world's care, and TheWarZ had very similar disclaimers, and it didn't stop them from getting totally wrecked by refunds. (Although I had to get my refund from RTW by going to a bigger company)
I'm not saying people should be calling for refunds either. But it can happen. NOTHING other than fixing these issues protects them from having a backlash from it, and being able to play is all people want to do. Very few, if any, are calling for ridiculous things to be done in their favor, they just want what they paid for to work.
That is not an unreasonable request, no matter how you slice it.
I've next to no probs with playing this game really. I play on xbox have all these poeple with issues thought that maybe there pc/xbox/ps3 is on its way out or that their internet is slow?
All games have updates. I'm sure that most of the issues "with the game" people are having will come out in a patch soon. Also there is a feed back option in the options menu
Do you really think Trion pay much attention to the QQ threads/posts? No. They expect it...
All games that launch, have tons of QQ threads in it the first month.
I don't know how the word 'entitlement' has gotten so permeated into the gaming vernacular these days, but let me make one thing crystal clear.
It IS NOT entitlement on the part of the consumer to pay money for a game, or any product for that matter, and to expect said game or product to work AS ADVERTISED.
Period. Point Blank.
