I know it is still the first few days after release and there were going to be problems but I do not think anyone was expecting this. Tried logging on yesterday before work, servers were down. Tried to log on last night after I got back from work, servers were down. This morning servers are up but at times I try to summon my car and wait for over 2 minutes and it never shows up. When I am finally able to kill something, any loot I was never able to loot. I waited over top of the loot for several minutes and still nothing. I finally gave up. Tried to do a simple quest that I've done in the betas several times and I can barely interact with the gravestones. Then the few guys that spawn as a result of the mission kill me because the lag is so bad they probably don't even realize not only am I shooting at them but I've spent most of my total ammo shooting them and they should be beyond dead. Then I respawn in a immediately start getting shot, probably from the guys that just killed me, and I die again. Then I respawn and continue to be shot by nothing around me that I can see. That process went on a few times before I said screw it and logged off. I tried waiting a few minutes then logged back in. Luckily the death loop I was in was no longer effecting me but this time I went into town. I was standing next to where the merchants where on the map but they were no where to be found. These are the kind of things that betas are for.

I have been apart of many in the past and this by far is one of the worst if not the worst. Aside from the devs letting us know that they are aware of the problems and trying to solve them they are not doing a whole lot to actually reassure the player base. The game came out Tuesday and there hasn't been a solid 24hrs of real playable time yet. There have only been spotty hours where people have actually been able to play. Honestly what Trion needs to do is take the servers down and begin some serious repairs and fixes. Take them down until tomorrow with the hopes that they can make the game playable for the weekend when even more people are going to have time to play. I've seen a few responses on several other threads that say, with regards to the console gamers, people are not going to want to stick around. There will be people who will stay and some will say that's just simple weeding out the player base we don't want. People in general are going to want a quick resolution to this. Even the most committed players are only going to stick around for so long.
