Single player games "HAVE" to be working when they go out the door....

An MMO cannot be tested again and again and again - with the number of players that is going to be playing it... Alpha and beta can only give them a quick look at how the code is going to work.

A single player game can be tested over and over and over.... 1 player.


It's really not hard to understand.
I think it's going the other way though. More games getting day 1 patches whether or not they're single player. I understand as technology advances and lines of code get more and more complicated there's bound to be more and creative bugs but I still wonder why the gaming community just accepts it. Sure we ***** and moan on the forums but thats about it. They still have our money no matter if you can play or not.
