once they bring out the ability to hold more ammo for weapons, your favorites will change.

my favorite is a frontier battle rifle, high caliber fully auto with ammo Regen.
it seems to keep most of its damage 5-6k per shot, even if more people join
your group or you get into an ark fall or siege.

i think the hellfire tachmag pulser smg is best for doing the gunslinger arenas
your armor will be gone but you should have full life bar most of the time.

controlled burst is fun to add to the vot volge typhoon / recon / mk iv rifles.

i really like snipers, but the ammo limit has kept me away from them.
    mostly used in pvp.

I was wondering if there were any other special places that they were good for.
Ground Pounder's small blast radius could be a merit when you try to blow it up close to you. Smaller blast radius is preferable when you try to deal with Grid or Hellbug like enemies which keep chasing you in a mass. Try jump over your own blast with Blast Shield.

Infectors...This weapon is the only weapon you don't need to aim other than hatchling grenade. Infector(Invader, Proliferator) is your best friend when you solo Conflicts and Minor Arkfalls with low TL because you don't need to aim half the enemies there. Bugs continue to kill enemies while you are interacting. Bugs kill enemies before you even notice they are spawned behind you.
