Also, you can climb the mountains from that area and travel all the way to the east shore, while being behind the boundaries still. Many nice views from there too.

Can you bring me back a few Vbi defence screens while you're there?

Yeah other than that area, and getting on some of the islands (which I wish I knew how to do), there isn't really anything beyond the main areas.

All that land mass on the map doesn't exist in the game. There's eventually a cut off (not far from the borders really) point where the games map just stops, has a steep drop and is just water, but by then you may be teleported out because there is a limit on how far you can go before the game ports you.

I drove up a mountain, walked along some invisible roads and used decoy to get over. It was pretty simple and a bit of fun. Once over, you are able to drive off into the distance, past the yellow boundaries of the map until eventually teleported back to Tranquillity Road.
    Here are some screengrabs:

This has been around since day 1 PS3 EU found this out by accident Trion claimed to have patched it so no one could exit game map via decoy teleport clearly not it seems

Someone brought me out there once--wonder if this is how they did it. Might be a good spot for some racing!

There are plenty of places. The whole northern part behind the wall is interconnected, so from anywhere you got behind the wall, you can reach the tutorial area.

And moreover, there are plenty of places which are not outside the wall and can be reached just by speeding the roller, but they are unused for some reason.

I do think the tutorial area is one of the coolest if not the coolest looking area in the game. And rightfully so as its the opener to the player and its made to get them psyched for the game.

But sadly that area is only for the tutorial. I think that area would make a awesome Capture and Hold Map for PvP as it has lots of cover due to ship parts, rocks, and foliage to block line of sight. Along with variable levels of height in terrain and interconnected pathways which leads to multiple approaches throughout the area. Not only this but its open at the same time leaving a lot of space to move around but at the same time not to huge of a area to make it to barring to slow down the action. For a 16 v 16 Cap and Hold Map it would be killer.
This is a good idea actually.Maybe the devs can think of it since in a few hours they'll look at this thread to stop the jailbreaks.
Defiance is gone. Gamigo has been "not neglecting" the game for over a year, yet there's nothing new except for low effort arkfalls and bitshop items.
I know it might be hard to quit a game you loved for years but you have to understand that it won't get better. Ever. If you like the game in it's current state, then sure, keep playing it. You're enjoying yourself after all. But if you aren't, don't hope for a better future for Defiance. Because it won't come.

Reminds of good ole Fort Defiance in the gray area in San Fran, although they did take out the spawn point but it is pretty easy to still get into.
