    Forums and General Negativity

Let's start off by saying not all of the problems players are finding with the game are Trion's fault. I have seen so many threads claiming things to be bugs when they aren't. Please, do yourself and everyone else a favor and look for a solution to a problem you are having before making another useless thread because you can't figure something out. An example of this is you can't log in because you copy/paste your CD Key to the authenticator on the log in screen.

I realize some players are having problems with the game for various reasons. What I don't understand is the need to post countless threads pointing out your personal issue with the game. It isn't helping you get your voice heard, it isn't helping Trion identify and prioritize game issues, and it isn't helping the game's image(a game you have invested money in).

There are places to submit your feedback in a proper, more helpful manner. Look at it this way. If you had a inventory with a different page for every item you would find it hard to manage. Feedback is much the same way.

If you can get into the game there are Feedback and Bug Reporting Links to submit any and all issues you are having with the game. I'm quite sure using those would be far more helpful than raging on the forums.

If indeed you are as experienced as some of you claim, then you would know that every mmo at launch has the same flooded forums with the same complaints. So to say that you have been in 'X' number of alphas/betas/launches but this is the (insert comment) is pointless and counters exactly the point you are trying to make. Every game may be different, but they all seem to share the same bumps in the road.

There is a suggestion section in these forums for your 'I'd like to see (insert item/feature)'. Again far more likely to be seen and have your voice heard there than making another Auction House/Pets thread.

If none of these seem to appease you for whatever reason, then simply look for a thread that has already been made with the same issues you are having. Again, the easier it is for Trion to identify and prioritize feedback the faster your issues will be solved.

Most likely if you refuse to use the tools and areas designed for these types of things the end result will be the opposite of what you are seeking. Trion will most likely miss something since it's hard to believe they have time to read through the sea of nerd rage. And the player base for the most part will see your credibility in a diminished capacity.

    Just my thoughts.

This is how video games are nowadays. Every video game forum is filled with whining and greedy people who feel entitled.

Go to the forum for any newly released game, MMO or not, and you'll see the same thing.

I would like to add that one's delivery method is also important. I see a lot of people justify their vitriol by saying that they "need to be heard!" and that it HELPS improve the game (much more so than you apologists! grr!). What I see, however, is people defeating the purpose of their feedback by coating it in frothing rage. If I was a dev, at least, I would probably ignore the guy who says

"This game is a waste of money, I can't believe the devs are so stupid and lazy that they left in these glitches! I want a refund!!!11"

This is not feedback, this is venting frustration, and ultimately not very constructive. Not only that, but it isn't even a good way to be heard by other players. It will instead instigate a defensive response from others, making them more likely gloss over any valid points you may have made and bury your comment in arguments.

Amen (must be a PC user because a console kids head would have exploded while writing this).

Another way to say it is, this is how the game industry is nowadays, release a product in it's beta version and call it a final release
Not saying there aren't greedy immature people here, there clearly are, but there are people experiencing real issues that should've been fixed before a final release as well.

That's not really a fair assertion. You're assuming that people on consoles are less important. At the very least, less developed than people on the PC?
You're also posting this bit of libel about console gamers on a well written post, while complimenting the post that was well thought out and put together.
Please, there is no need for this. We can all be adults, yes?
Zraxus is right, you know. We need to spend more time helping the developers and less time bickering.

Also, it's easier to type an error report on the computer. You have access to the keyboard.
I don't have a keyboard plugged into my xbox 360.
In spite of that, I still try to write out what exactly happened when I encounter a bug. I'm invested in this game, and the more we help the developers the better it will get.

    Thank you for your time.
    Even the console gamers.

    More or less this.

Why? Because the people who are able to enjoy the game are playing the game, or at work. Why bother talking about it when you can play it.

And given that the performance of the forums hasn't seemed to take a nose dive, I'm willing to say not everyone is having trouble.

When you actually give negative feedback, that is constructive the white knights lose it.
