So We are old people when it comes to gamers, We have literally Alpha, or Beta Tested just about every game that has ever came out in the MMO world. Who remembers Meridian59 and Ultima Online?

Anyways we hear a lot of the X-Box Kiddies complaining about Defiance and how bad it is that they can not play it due to lag, or server crashes.

For those of you who are new to MMO Gaming and live server launches we want to let you know that this is normal. Any game that we have ever played that is a MMO has always had a few bugs to work out and lag issues to address.

Hell just look at age of Connan, The game was unplayable a year later, Or Anarchy Online, When it first launched the lag was so bad it took you an hour just to walk across the street.

The point is that the development team will fix it .... Eventually. So please be Patience, Do not get frustrated, Things will work out in the end and Defiance will be an awesome game.

Remember this is cutting edge, this is the very first and true MMO level game for the X-box!! The other 2 was FF11 & PSU.... This is an exciting time where MMO for home platform systems and TV shows are going to be linked into a Multi- media and in an interactive environment.

This is ground braking event that will cause a new frontiers of how MMO's will be played in the future, MMO's not just for PC's anymore, But for the first time in gaming history available across milti-platform systems. Who knows perhaps one day PC players will be able to play on the same servers as Home Platforms such as X-box & PS3/4 or Wii.... Imagine a brave new gaming world...
And more importantly you are part of a new world event phenomena.

Give it a few weeks they will get the server crashes out and lag soon. Every day we play it is getting better with each new patch. We know that those of you who have never played an MMO before are getting frustrated, Just breath, relax, If its to much for you go play another game for a few days then come back when everything is if optimized.

This is completely normal for every single MMO that has ever came out in history, Things will get much better, Just give the developers time and be patient, Remember there is hundreds of thousands of people all trying to get on and play the game at the same time.

So relax, Kick back, Play when you can get on, If not Breath, go play something else, Check back. Things can & WILL only get better, Give Trion a week or so and soon enough Defiance will be the best and new definitive style of Gaming with fun for all.

i have played in alpha and beta versions of some MMOs and played them up til the launch which were mostly succesful. i am too a pro gamer for the pc and xbox. this game can only get better as the days go bye and i for one can say i will keep playign it forever

My first instinct was to nerd rage, and i did on a couple of posts. However, I took a step back and remembered that this is not only an MMO but a groundbreaking one as well. I was ashamed to have forgotten that and posted complaints-which are counter productive- after almost 24 years of counsel and PC gaming.

I just ask you counsel gamers and folks who are new to MMOs to think outside the box and be patient. We are all frustrated but as far as MMO launches go, Defiance is going smoothly. Spend less time complaining and arguing on threads and submit suggestions instead in the feedback section. Or try and make some friends on the forums in general discussion.

The success of an MMO depends as largely on the community as it does on the developers so lets all be friends and help each other rather than talk trash. As they say, arguing on the internet is like the special olympics...

My rule of thumb is day 1 log in grab a name create a character log out come back 2-3 days later.i have never played an MMO that didn't have 1 to 2 week problems.The people that complain don't actually have any day 1,week 1 or for that matter month 1 MMO experience under their belt.

EVERY one of them was FUBAR on day one and a lot of them intermittent for first month.So if your crying about this game 2 days after release your just showing how immature,inexperienced you are.

I commend the OP's thoughts. However, if you really take into perspective the actual "target audience/gamers" that Trion is trying to reach by having this game on Xbox 360 and Playstation 4, you would realize that your great and sensible post will be lost here.

So, I hope that Trion and others like us MMO/gaming vets would understand this and not be so quick to strike the whiners and complainers on these forums. Particularly the Xbox 360 forums since it probably has the most inexperienced and impatient lot of all the platforms.

I'm sure Trion kind of knew what they were getting themselves into when they decided to venture into the console arena. Now, if they want to get the $$$ that comes with that, then they need to step their game up and stay on top of things.

I couldn't agree more OP. Even the smoothest of mmo launches is plagued by server issues, queues, disconnections and more. I am happy to see Trion taking the servers down as much as they need to because that means in the end they want us to enjoy the game at its full potential.
