First time i have ever played an mmo, having fun when I do play it. I have heard about mmo launches, so I am patient. I will say the first day was a lot smoother than the second. Today I haven't had any problems, except for dying when fighting a large faction of mutants on my own lol.

Your probably one of the few people knew what might happen on launch day compared to others.

anyway this guy all he ever talked about was MMO gaming like WoW and stuff, and he only played and created female toons.

**back to topic of Defiance ~ lagg during game play on my xbox has definately gone away. Alittle here and there but that is in any game when playing online.

So We are old people when it comes to gamers, We have literally Alpha, or Beta Tested just about every game that has ever came out in the MMO world. Who remembers Meridian59 and Ultima Online?

Anyways we hear a lot of the X-Box Kiddies complaining about Defiance and how bad it is that they can not play it due to lag, or server crashes.

For those of you who are new to MMO Gaming and live server launches we want to let you know that this is normal. Any game that we have ever played that is a MMO has always had a few bugs to work out and lag issues to address.

Hell just look at age of Connan, The game was unplayable a year later, Or Anarchy Online, When it first launched the lag was so bad it took you an hour just to walk across the street.

The point is that the development team will fix it .... Eventually. So please be Patience, Do not get frustrated, Things will work out in the end and Defiance will be an awesome game.

Remember this is cutting edge, this is the very first and true MMO level game for the X-box!! This is an exciting time where MMO for home platform systems and TV shows are going to be linked into a Multi- media and in an interactive environment.

This is ground braking event that will cause a new frontiers of how MMO's will be played in the future, MMO's not just for PC's anymore, But for the first time in gaming history available across milti-platform systems. Who knows perhaps one day PC players will be able to play on the same servers as Home Platforms such as X-box & PS3/4 or Wii.... Imagine a brave new gaming world...
And more importantly you are part of a new world event phenomena.

So relax, Kick back, Play when you can get on, If not Breath, go play something else, Check back. Things can & WILL only get better, Give Trion a week or so and soon enough Defiance will be the best and new definitive style of Gaming with fun for all.

well i don't think the x-box kiddies will be playing this game,but as for the non kiddies, i feel that if it is your first mmo that it should come with a warning that you will be spending your money on a game you can almost play, but have to wait untill someone fixes it for you, while they spend your money paying for that tech.For us X-BOX non kiddies who lack the vast experance of buying a game then have to wait untill its repaired to play, its new and stupid.What was the beta for then, if not to test and find proplems. I have played alot of beta games and they all had their share of gliches, but at release,the game went pretty well.So Mr.MMO expert you enjoy spending time waiting to play? or do you just play PC?

There's no proper way to stress test the servers in beta. That's because only a small fraction of people are on the beta. It wasn't an open beta, and for console, there was a small fraction of time to get on it. If you played the beta for Defiance, you would have known that the first 2 days of the beta were unplayable due to constant lag and disconnect issues. Out of my 14 friends that bought the game that I personally know outside of the gaming world, 2 were in the beta. This is how all MMO betas go, only a fraction of people are playing the beta. Most wait until the live product. They didn't know how many people would play, and their servers can't handle it. I'm sure the OP would agree that he's fine waiting until the kinks are worked out. This is an xbox forum so I would think he's playing on xbox.

P.S. MMOs on PC have week 1 problems all the time

Good discus y'all! And to be fair some of us older gamers are handsome (according to my mom )and even score with a fine honey from time to time. Tho I have gotten fatter with my growing age... I blame society.

We play on PC, X-Box, PS3 & soon on 4, Wii and on every other system since PONG. lol
Right now we are playing Defiance on our X-Box.

I remember when EQ first launched...... Could not even walk 2 feet, freeze, 2 feet, freeze. That was horrible for the first few weeks then one of the biggest MMO's. You cant explain this to everyone, some just cant comprehend common sense or how these little boxes work.
