**Temporary Fix for Those That Cannot Log In**

Now obviously i dont know if people have tried this already but heres a couple of things you could try.

Make sure the beta client (if you were in beta) has been uninstalled

try selecting a diffrent region from settings to see if that will allow you to connect

redownload the installer. of course back up the game files before hand.

Just some ideas... hope they help

I have tried all of these with no luck. I do appreciate the attempts to help though.. I'm sure you can imagine my(and lots of others) frustration.. I paid $60 two days ago to look at a connecting to server screen.. I really do understand the issues with newly launched games, ESPECIALLY MMOs, but eventually you reach a point where patience wears thin.. I'm not there yet, but I feel it coming soon..

I LOVE Trion(Rift!), so I'm giving them time and feedback to hopefully get this resolved..

Worked for me, I am guessing if you can get to your character select screen it works. Thanks for the tip man

One thing I am noticing is that the patcher always says "update" when I open it. I then click update, and it says resuming update for a sec then stops and I can click play.. Maybe this is an issue? I'm thinking something either got installed or updated incorrectly.. Is there a way to uninstall/reinstall JUST the patcher, and not all of Defiance? I would like to try this, but I don't want to wait 3+ hours for the entire game to download again..
