Hey Guys,
Just wanted to know your thoughts on Perks.
The ablity under "1" is fun, but the other perks you can equip are there too! What do you think? Are these lame or do you think it's a nice addition to your playstyle?
I personally think they don't really add much to the experience, and that it has to be made more powerfull to be effective.

They're pretty weak, that's true. I do, however, really love the perk Thick Skinned in PvP.
I think the point of making them weak is to make sure a low EGO player could still defeat a high EGO player, as this is mainly a shooter.
Perks are meant to synergize with your play style. There are gobs of options. Personally, I think things powerwise with my suicide melee build are just about right at my particular EGO rating. (175)
I played with the same build in the beta and really enjoyed being rewarded for playing a particular way with additional bonuses. Those bonuses could be, ammo refill, additional damage, additional speed, EGO recharge, etc.
It would be great if the perk system wasn't broken across loadouts. I really wanted to have one loadout dedicated to sniping, one loadout dedicated to short - medium range and another loadout with crazy stuff like combat medic builds but with the current bugs it is impossible to do.

Jhea well, im trying to build crit, but I soon realized there aren't many options to do this. When I continue to get levels i'll probably put points into getting more damage for attacking from behind and extend cloak and cooldowns.
I dunno, maybe the ego grid doesn't make sense to me. Anyone know nice perks to unlock for a player who likes to shoot with an SMG (and sniper)?
Anyone? I now have a perk that increases Crit but i have to crouch ... kinda have the feeling i all need to change that up to cloack damage and damage from behind. Any advice?
I agree it is all for your playstyle. I've built a perk system all around boosting my critical damage dealt and rewarding critical kills. But my main weapon is a sniper rifle with an AR for backup. I like it better than my explosives build I had during beta with a detonator.
I run with extra crit to enemies not in combat, and extra crit to enemies moving towards you, then replenish ammo in current weapon on a critical kill.
Wish Perks would properly save under Loadouts, cause I got a sniper build, an assault one etc, etc..
Maybe this patch will fix it, or the next one..
I am still very low level... I think around 100 ego but I am rocking an SMG with overcharge, seems to me increasing its uptime is a good idea.Originally Posted by Elite_T91

That probably requires a TONNE of ego to get all them perks though.
I have something remotely similar to this - majority is focused on crit and sustainability. I can now play as aggressively as I want and still live. Loving it.
