my day with defiance
I had a day off so I bought Defiance. Those nice people at Game gave me 25% extra on trade-ins, store points and upgraded the standard edition I was going to buy to a ltd edition and knocked £5 off GTA V.
After reading the forums I was a bit nervous putting the disk in my Xbox. I half expected it would blow up. Installing and downloading was around 25 mins which was fine, I had lunch while it did it's thing. The game started with no problems at all. I tried to link my account a couple of times but the code kept getting rejected. No biggie, I wanted to play the game, not mess around with codes.
The tutorial was fine, although the game could do with a manual. The graphics didn't seem much different from the beta. They're a bit rough but I guess that's to be expected given the console's limitations. The framerate was quite stable. I did quite a few arkfalls. I noticed some lag during the larger battles and my Xbox froze once but it was nothing game breaking. I was able to join a friend's game with no problems at all. Although joining his game wasn't the smartest move as his character is a high level and i pretty much got insta killed by a gang of angry robots.
All things considered I'm happy with the game. It needs some work and a bit of tweaking but the game is fun and that's the most important thing.
