Hacking fest

I hope for PC gamers, the devs team are going to do something real quick about hacking. I was not part of the first beta event but I will in the second beta event. 3PS always getting hacking sutff like aimbot....so really, I hope the devs team are going to do something about it real quick and the game is going to be a master piece.

I don't think I have ever played a MMO that was a "hacking fest" so I doubt this will be.

well there not new to the mmo pc game with rift. so they should have a good idea. i would hope

You worry about hacking, but do not specify how it is being hacked/exploited and cite references to it happening. How are the develoeprs to know what is going on with out guidance or proof to it actually happening? Reality sucks...people are not mind readers...yes you need to spell it out.

I don't foresee hacking being a problem with this game. I do agree with sybersmoke however any hacking that you see need to be reported, the faster this happens, the faster hackers will disappear.

You know I read this and thought Botting not hacking. It seems like he is asking what they will do about people who speed hack, aimbot, auto pickup and whatnot.

it's not just up to Trion, we have to pick up those things as well and report them accordingly.

we either go Blizzard's way and apply some sort of 'Warden' for Defiance ( I don't like stuff scanning my system .. :x ), or we teach the community early enough how to handle and deal with hackers.

I thought blizzard just made more of there data server side so people couldnt mess with spells, items, etc.

Warden was/is Blizzard's nifty little program that scans all the processes running in the background. When it picks up something suspicious it flags the player and an investigation is started on the account. Heck I knew people that got flagged and banned for using a logitech G15 keyboard lool.

there are only a few things that are serversided, that's currency/amount of it, event timers, timers in general, etc. pretty much everything that can be manipulated with memoryhacking
