Abusing/exploiting bugs and hacking always hurts the game and its players in some way. You can not, for example, use an exploit to get a leg up in the in-game economy without it ultimately impacting other players negatively. There is no harmless exploiting in MMOs.
Dang it, we should have asked about easy-to-use reporting functionality in the last livestream chat.
I may be wrong here, but I believe lag-switches only work when the player hosting the match uses it. Since I'm expecting pvp and coop to be hosted entirely on Trion's end lag-switches will have no effect in this game.
And yes, an easy to use method for reporting hackers would be greatly appreciated.
*Facepalm* This has been assumed before, and I've heard it from others in other MMOs... the way a lag switch works it doesn't matter if a player is hosting. (Ironically people used to try and say the same to me about Fallen Earth... that worked out swell, lol.)
When used in public/PvE settings with several players present... it can tend to lead to bandwidth snowballing which tends to lead to roller-coastering latency spikes (especially in cases where more than one person is using one), which really sucks.Originally Posted by About.com

Just because you can't handle the truth... doesn't mean somebody is trolling!

hacks happen but it won't be a majority deal, sucks that people do this crap but it's in every game because there will always be losers who just can't play a game the way its meant to be played. Something we deal with as gamers. It will ruin the occasional round here or there but won't ruin a game. Thats my thoughts anyways.
