0.57mbs Patcher

Greetings to all.
The 1st time i downloaded the patcher, i noticed that it was blocked at 57k/sec for me as for the download speed, so it took me around 4h to download the game. Same as for the patcher today as well.
The update i just had again was downloading at 57k/sec. Usually my provider speed is around 800k/sec download for almost anything i do, including all the other mmos.

Anyone else got that problem? Is it on Trion's end? Or just me?
And is there a way to fix it?

fyi 57k/sec = 0.057mbs not 0.57mbs.

but thats not important right now. it might be because the world and his wife are all downloading the patch/updates clients etc this morning ready for go, or your isp is having a bad day?

From personal experience:
Down loads from patchers and game clients are usually slower. This is from server lag, restriction speed so all people can DL at once, and a few other things. During the initial downloads I was at 0.066 for the beta. The patches have been 0.037 and today 0.023. I wrote down the speeds on a log in sheet I have for games, it lets me estimate how long updates should take. So far, the DL's have been better than other games I have played.

I was able to download it at 3.5Mbps this time around, but the previous one i had a lot of troubles too!

if your using a wireless router that could always be an issue, as for me i was getting 4-6MPS for download/patch (using hardwired router).
it could also be your provider to.

there sooooo many factors involved its hard to say. location for one, which server hes on compared to you, speed and quality of yours etc etc etc.

if he can do a speed test on his line and its cool hes just on an unlucky server

i also downloaded the game back on monday when i got my invite, and just kept it patched up (makes a big difference to download early rather than right before.

yep. i did mine last week and went through quick. but i bet tons are downloading redy for open, or worse flooding the servers trying to get in now rather then when it starts
