i get there fight off the hordes of bandits and nothing happens

likely you got stuck in the same place i did. There is a note on top of the house you got to use (then 3-4 more after that) using each one spawns more raiders. The hordes were spawned by other players doing the quest i guess, was a pain in the butt.

I was looking for ages. i eventually went back and sat on the roof then i realised the note was invisible. If i looked right at the marker i could pick it up but couldnt see it. same goes for the rest of the notes for that quest. I think the waves are a couple of normal bandits then some elite rioters, rpgs and blitzers. the last wave is 2 of the tanker guys i think they are called. Rocket launcher guys with packs on their backs.

So I get on the roof, I see that it mentions here that the note is invisible. But for me it's non-interactable too.

Just re-take the mission. First just open your Map and abandon your mision then take it again so that note become interactable

Actually it was broken last year when this thread was created. Glad you are trying to be helpful, but look at the date the last post was made, before posting. A good rule of thumb is to not revive a post that has been dead for over 3 months And definitely do not revive a thread that died the same month that the game was launched.

problem with your response for "dead threads" is ... I have a current problem with murder in madera part 3 ... and if a new thread is created every couple months it only adds to a serious pile of confusion ... one issue ... one thread ... for the life of the game ...

so my problem is ... Murder in madera part 3 does not show up on my map ... I might assume that it is active right now ... there is no way to abandon it and I cannot find any of the notes to confirm it is active ...

has the mission been removed from the game ... or simply the ability to restart a mission has been removed ???

The mission is there. I did it the other day, no problems. In fact, I hardly remember it. So I know it went off without a hitch.

And in the case of this game, it IS better to create a new thread instead of bumping a two year old one cuz the game has gone through many changes and a lot of the old stuff is invalid. So its actually more confusing to drudge up the old stuff. Why that person bumped this thread in November - after a year and a half, just to tell someone to abandon the mission - is beyond me. It should be a no-brainer that if your mission mass hit a glitch or issue, abandon and try again.
