I'm trying really hard to enjoy the game. But I'm slowly coming to terms with it - this is probably the worst game I've played all year. Well, maybe not the worst. But It's just insane how mediocre it is. So dull and boring. I'm still playing, hoping it will get better... doesn't seem likely though. Think Walmart will accept a return?

Anyone else feel this way?

Not at all, I come from a BF3 team, and from my experience their, this has yet to become boring or even mediocre.

Yesterday I would have said the same thing, but when I logged on this morning everything had changed. I didn't have any problems with the server until they took it down for the patch, and there have been plenty of people online. Driving from location to location, I see at least 20 people, and when I arrive there are always 2 or 3 to help me with the objective.

Any particular reason? is it just not your type of game or are there other issues?

Was just on, there were the odd people running around but not as many as there were before... Unless they're all in Mandera, needless to say I don't think they have returned their copies, so much as waiting a week before trying to play again.

The issue is, if nobody plays now because they all want to wait, nothing gets fixed. The dev's need us to play regardless of working or not to report why its not working, so they can fix it. Reason I just logged out is because it said there was another patch coming down right now, and would be offline for about 30mins. Hopefully, this patch doesn't break anything and will improve upon the game. The patch from Noon today seemed to fix stuff, 2 patches in 1 day = <3

Im hoping they sneak in a fix for the Critical Error timed out error that a lot of people are getting

That's the strange thing, it's totally my type of game. TPS, open world, love MMO's, yadda. But somethings just not clicking. I think maybe it's the lack of progression (or at least the feeling of it). Weapons are hard to come by, and when you actually do find one it's never really better than what you had - thus mission rewards are kinda lame. Currently no *real* reward for arkfalls or pvp. It's just lacking that progressing feeling for me, I guess.

I understand why they wanted to keep gear on par - for pvp purposes - but I think it just sucks some of the fun out in the process.

Heck I've only gone there for a Contract. At least until I can figure out where the heck KTAM and Serenity Power are so I can get my last two Data Recorders.

While I do agree that the sense of progression is severely limited by their choice to let players bring their builds and guns into pvp, I'm still enjoying the game overall. Then again, I'm playing with and talking to a group of friends the entire time, so that makes just about any game fun. In my opinion, that decision definitely hurts the game, as I want to find more powerful gear as I go along and that isn't happening. It doesn't make it a bad game, but it makes it a worse game than it could have been.
