Sadly we will have to endure a few weeks of posts like the ones which have dragged this thread off topic, and how well the game will do will be decided by how the dev team react.

In every MMO there are people who play constantly at release, burn through all the content in no time flat, and then complain about a lack of content / progression. This tiny minority insist that the only way for a game to be popular is by adding a giant power creep / gear treadmill.

It's simply not true, and too many MMOs have been ruined by foolish dev teams listening to this extremely vocal minority.

Judging by your attitude you must be from Europe as i see this kind of stereotyping allot against Americans. Its very shallow in progression childish or not theres an ENTIRE map with content i think there keeping from us do to them wanting to make money with DLCS. So im sure there will be plenty of deepth latter on. The question is how much do you want to pay for that lvl of deepth for content already in the game? lol

Oh wow! Who'd have thought they want to make money through DLC considering there is no subscription! There's already more content in the game than most games that cost the same price.

Everyone knows MMO servers run on dreams and wishes... not money!

And they don't have to pay for bandwidth. Nor a dev team to release patches. And their support staff works for free.

I just got a Purple grenade and a Blue shield from a Major Arkfall. I came in 15th in terms of damage, if that matters.

what would you happen to be talking about? you get a ar and damage is 303 (starting) o wow i complete an arkfall and i get a wopping level 440 ar and it does the same damage and its orangw WOW its so much better than the starting one

Has anyone ever told you that not only A, you're a giant chode, but B, you look like a giant chode also, pretty sure if you open your mouth in real life I would probably want to kill you due to the stupidity that spewed out of your mouth. Gj here is your medal for completing the game, running from point A to point B. Try this for your next game since you won this one and noone cares that you did, but get some friends group up, and actually immerse yourself into the game, don't run around cloaked with a shotgun killing things, try actually ramping up the difficulty yourself, don't be a little chode *****.

Devs need income to keep the game going. Most MMOs require a box purchase and monthly fees. You defend WoW, yet how many paid expansions did they have? Here we get a kick *** story with awesome dialogue and voice acting(which also costs money). I don't know if you know this but there is a show called defiance, as well, that will continue to progress the story of the game. Some content will be free and other content you will have to pay for. I heard a dev in an interview say that even if you don't purchase DLC you still gain access to new areas as they open up. You better believe I'm getting the season pass for this mother.

For anyone that wants to argue about free to play games, just don't.

Free to play is fine and i dont mind paying for extra content. Its just going to take allot to keep most MMO ppl here to this game and not move onto another one. Hopefully Trion does well but again we wont know till a few months since the game has only been out since this week.
