For initial response to how does voice chat work? Poorly.. sounds horrible, no push to talk option, and doesn't really turn off (may have been fixed in patches but not sure).
Otherwise I've only seen it in group (which also includes PvP group).

From what i know, it only works when you are in a group.

to me sound like theyre only gonna fix how bad voices sound in voice chat.. that doesnt necessarily mean voice chat in general will be fixed (i.e if it doesnt work at all)
I will test if it works in solo with a friend when the patch update is done and let you guys know

DO you really want to hear the 11 year old kids cussing and screaming hack in PvP matchs ...I dont think so..
except youre in groups/teams in pvp matches and chat works in groups sooo youd hear them either way
It is horrible.. I have to mute everyone or hear reverb really bad since most do not use a head set... even then I sometimes I get to hear their back ground stuff... yay!
A push to talk button and the ability to adjust the input out put would be nice
