ok so i did some testing the other day on this

i emptyed my 36 mag 11 times and grabbed the average overall realistic fire rate

    6.01
    6.26
    6.15
    6.38
    6.43
    6.63
    5.71
    6.38
    6.56
    6.43
    6.38

average time to empty mag : 6.29 seconds

    36/6.29=5.7 shots/second

    wolfhound stats:

    assassin
    mag
    crit
    crit
    dmg

    mastery: 1.10 crit
    barrel: 1.25 crit
    5495 x 7.4 x 5.7 = 231,779.1

    tachmag stats:

    rolling thunder
    reload
    crit
    crit
    dmg

    mastery: 15% crit from hip
    power bore x 1.11 dmg

    2180 x 2.6 x 25 = 141,700 dps

being wm only, you'd run a crit barrel so same tachmag with crit barrel instead of dmg barrel, so lets do that:

    ([2180 / 1.21] x 1.10) x (1.6 x 1.80) x 25 =
    1982 x 2.9 x 25 = 143,681 dps

now in conclusion, yes my tachmag could be cannoneer or assassin, but its still not gonna match the wolfhound

and likewise, if someone wants to workout the advanced dps, be my guest, but i dont think it'll make up the extra 90k dps missing.

you can also see how little difference crit barrels to overall damage, even in sustain crit to dmg is small

and if my math is not right, please post corrections.
oh and tests were done on pc using ps4 controller R1 to fire, id imagine mouse clicks are slightly faster.

    Nice!
I thought of doing it myself but hadn't found time since I posted.

I would tend to run the numbers with falloff dmg barrels though since 13/16m isn't really that far imo, maybe its just me though.

That model of SMG in the VBI/EMC SMG could use a bit more on cross hair tightness. And something cool out of the ordinary would be if its fall off damage was buffed up some. As it is now its more of a aimed precision SMG, but its not quite good enough at doing what it seems that its supposed to do when compared to a lot of the other Assault type guns.

All of the Assault type guns pale in comparison to the many Pulser variants.

Just because Pulsars are beast up close doesn't equal other Assault type weapons are pale in comparison. But for sure they are better suited for a lot more things the game throws at us.

But what should be done? Should Pulsars get... nerfed?

Of all the Assault weapons, they have the highest potential DPS with a lenient Falloff curve. Every other Assault weapon literally requires you to aim down the sight, causing a loss of mobility. The loss of mobility makes it easier for enemies to hit you. If you're rolling to avoid enemy fire, you aren't shooting at them. If you aren't shooting at them, yeah...
