Bits purchase through Steam not working

I've bought bits through the website using paypal but whenever I try in game using steam wallet funds, I get this message:

Error
Unable to purchase bits at this time, please try again later

Any ideas, answers?

getting this exact same problem, is steam wallet not functioning correctly with the game yet? would have been nice to know this considering the knowledge base assured me i COULD use steam wallet, and now i have funds there that i can't use. |:

Known issue - been reported before. The only known solution is to associate a PayPal account/Credit Card with your game account for now.

Word of warning - there appears to be a 99 item cap on Inventory.
