Update: Xbox 360 US Lag and Connection Issues

i hope they are working their *** off, I'm not complaining, just want to be able to play the game and enjoy their product.... so hard to be able to do that if i lag out as soon as your character enters the game world... man how much i want to smell the grass of their game world... just cant say logged in long enough to get my guy across the street to do so

no... the server selection is picky.... we aren't cool enough to enter the club... it seems... LOL im JK

no it seems to be weird some people its flawless... others like myself cant even get into the game

Thanks sledge and the guys at Trion for keeping us so up to date and for the amazing patch last night. the game is running so smooth right now did an arkfall 100+ people no problem(could switch wepons easily, summon vehicle.....all the stuff that has been driving people crazy.) server hasnt crashed once on me. usually the server crash would force me to get a break.

to everyone complaining stop think for a second with so many of us having no problem and running smoothly ever think it could be your internet? try running hard wire rather than wireless.

Been reading alot on the forums here and just have to say to all the hardcore MMO crowd to take it easy on the console people who are new to this situation like myself. Nobody with an xbox or a ps3 knew they that wouldnt be able to play a game they just bought at the store. Not everyone knows the standards for MMO releases including myself but since reading through here i understand it will be some time before things are where the need to be in order to play. Thats fine i can wait.......but bashing people becuase they just didnt know is messed up. They have been playing xbox playstaion and other consoles all their life and guess what.....when they go to the store and spend hard earned money on a 50-60 dollar game aside from a day one update they can play instantly. No one wants to order a steak and not be able to eat it for a week to a month. Not everyone that plays games has all the free time in the world to drink mountain dew and get cheeto stains all over their shirts sitting in front a monitor all day playing an MMO or anything else for that matter. Normal people other than kids who are on break have jobs and lives outside of gaming. Although they love gaming they just have other resposiblities. No one wants to go to the store and buy a game for whatever amount of money and not be able to play with the little free time they have. I will wait for the game to come around but try not lash out at others who simply just dont know the process of an MMO because you do and you think that they should. Also keep in mind the xbox is a much more popular online platform than ps3 for third party titles. So the wave of xbox complaints is because more copies were sold on xbox in general. I imagine more copies could have been sold on pc than either console but im willing to bet the xbox has sold the most at this point. Could be wrong....

I agree and I am familiar with MMOs going back to the beta test of Everquest.

One of the reasons I quit playing MMOs and switched to console games was because it got to the point where it was EXPECTED that they would release in Beta test mode. I got tired of paying a software company for the opportunity to beta test their software.

Many companies sell faulty products, but the problem with selling software that doesn't work, unlike a toaster, car, television, etc; you can't return it and get your money back. Most (all?) stores won't give refunds for opened software. In fact, in most cases, I return a product I buy within a week or so just for the simple reason that I didn't like it. It doesn't even matter if it works or not.

I think if they (the software gaming industry) changed that paradigm and allowed people to return software like this that doesn't work, especially for on-line games where they can disable the account to make it useless if the software is returned for a refund, that would do a lot to satisfy the people who are upset at getting ripped off. I'm not saying Trion ripped us off, because I'm sure eventually the game will get out of beta and be fixed. I'm saying when someone buys a console game that doesn't work and they can't get their money back, they feel ripped off. I can think of half a dozen games I could be enjoying for the price of this game instead of paying Trion to get this one to a playable state.

sad this is... i alpha tested this game.. like crazy on the PC so much fun...... but i hate playing PC games just isn't my thing so i got it on Xbox... and boom... can't even play it... wait i lied... it worked great yesterday before this new patch.. and the last server outage

yesterday up until 8 or 9pm until that last server crash or patch... whatever they did... has put me back into the dog house... >_> it was fun being able to connect and play with my Xbox buddies all for that one single day.

:P wish they'd roll back the servers or remove the patch to that time

The last patch must have fixed most of the issues, at least the ones I was experiencing, because so far today is the smoothest I've had so far. I've done arkfalls, story missions, and instances all without to many hiccups. Keep up the good work guys thanks for the updates. I'm looking forward to living the next few years of my life in your world

i would agree to that.... just that yesterday before this new patch... or this new server side update... has completely threw me back into the dark.... i seen that it did get crazy laggy for a little bit last night around that time before they shut down the servers... at 9pm but i wasn't getting booted from the game... but early this morning and today... i can hold my breath longer then the time it takes for me to get disconnected

I keep getting kicked when i try to open up any of the menus especially when in an ark fall. I have no problem logging right back in but its a bit frustrating being kicked every few minutes.
