Update: Xbox 360 US Lag and Connection Issues

It's a great game, but I'd like to play. It's particularly annoying that someone in my Xbox party is playing as we speak and I get to sit and look at the title screen that I paid $150 for.

Here's my thing and correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't there only one beta before release of Defiance? The reason for asking is because most MMO's have several betas in order to try to fix these types of issues before they happen. I'm not giving up on this game because it has alot of potential. I've been waiting for a game like this on the Xbox for a long time and it's finally here. Keep up the good work Devs, I will be here patiently waiting to play this awesome game.

Yeah one console beta, i think there was 3 for PC. But there was no open beta to try and see how easily the servers would break, or there just wasnt a big enough following. once people see a new game on the shelves there are some that just buy it for the giggles to see how it is then if they don't like it, try to return it.

The point is, even the Trion team says there should not be this much lag going on. So i think we can dropp the "there's always lag at launch" argument and deal with facts, this launch is only 60/40 successful. And the reason it's that high is because when you can actually play, it's a blast

I've done multiple MMOs. First day, first week, heck sometimes even the first month sucks with lag. That's why I didn't get the collectors edition. That XP boost for the first seven days is effectively worthless. But worst of all... Never has a company ever scheduled maintenance on a Saturday night from 8-10 PST. Some one needs to be fired.

I agree. People keep comparing this to first person shooters, halo COD ect. If you wanna compare it to a shooter its more like gears, army of two, saints row, and borderlands all had a love child. They named it defiance.
