Update: Xbox 360 US Lag and Connection Issues

I found a permanent fix for the Xbox problems!
1. sell your xbox (this is the most important part)
2. buy a PS3 and exchange the defiance xbox version for a ps3 version.
3. NEVER HAVE TO PAY $60 A YEAR FOR PERMISSION TO PLAY A GAME THAT YOU CAN PLAY FOR FREE ON ANY OTHER SYSTEM!
4. Enjoy all the glory of the sharper graphics and blueray movies as well as a HD that is NOT sold separately or charged extra for with the system purchase.

TADA problem solved permanently.

ya but this does not fix the problem of the Lagging and the server crash / shutdowns

You've got no complaints from me. This is a game-changing project you guys have here, so a couple of flaws are expected to be a part of the process to achieve perfection on a new level. Just hang on, everyone! Have patience and don't give up on it!

ok so a few flaws is considered lagging almost constantly throughout game-play? i could understand that is THAT WAS ALL THAT IS HAPPENING!

They do to check forums they have a person who is required to Cruz every single game maker has a perosn check that to make sure ppl for the most part are pleased

Do you know how? Like i said, you must be new to MMO's. This is the way MMO's work when you are playing them from the very beginning. People like you need to quit crying.

I don't get paid to know how and obviously you don't either. I know of several MMO's that didn't have the extensive non playable problems that this game has. Minor glitches are exceptable. For DAYS now I haven't been able to play, despite this game having a beta. That's fact, not crying. Most people cant even play this game as it was intended out of the box, like me. I find it funny you would be an advocate for a game that doesn't work. To funny. Let say you bought a new truck that doesn't work for 3 days after you buy it. I guess you would say, other truck dealers are having the same problem, so its exceptable? Absolutely not, you would return turn it. We as consumers can't do that with this game, now can we? So instead, there are consumers like you who empower these game companies to release products to soon and by praising mediocrity. Paying money for a product that doesn't work is not exceptable-this product doesn't work properly (oh but it will someday, lol). We all saw the potential in this game and thats why we forked over 60 bucks, but that potential is unrealized due to being unable to play-AT ALL.

No it couldn't have they could possibly tested server load but there is no way to truly accommodate jumping up from the beta loads to release loads the servers could be built to handle stress but until they are live there is no way to predict how they will react

Oh, so your saying data from the beta could not have been scaled to calculate the "load" based on the amount games shipped, plus future sales and build in the redundancy safe guards needed to prevent interruption. My mistake

some people like myself have forked over more than "$60" for the different editions of this game and for it to take the entire night to install the game all the patches and then not to work LIKE IT IS SUPPOSED TO, well that tells me that

1. the company did not do enough trial and error testing BEFORE the beta was released,
2. they didn't read enough into the pre-beta, and in-beta testing to know that something like what is happening would happen.
3. hopefully this NON- PLAYER issue will be a benchmark (for releasing a game that has had issues from night 1 of release) for other gaming companies that are or will plan on making a competing MMORPG for a console.

I bought the Ultimate Edition, you won't be hearing me complain It's pretty complicated and they took a huge risk making this for Xbox 360 and PS3 it could have been a PC only title. I'll just wait it out and play it on my PC till xbox is all good.

And as a result, I couldn't fire at all either. But after that, everything else worked fine. This game is already too good to just blow up at the developers because there are a few problems. Don't forget that they're working night and day to ensure everything works smoothly on all three platforms. My version is on Xbox 360, but I also have a friend who has it on PS3, and he hasn't been able to log in at all lately. But he's keeping his cool too and playing another game in the meantime to keep his third person shooter skills up.

All this hate directed at the developers doesn't solve anything. This thread should be reserved for posting observations about how the game is running and the like, so the developers can scan through it and determine where they may need to focus their attention specifically.

I have observed that there are several fanboy ***** kissers. I have observed that the game devs have our money. I have observed that this game is broken for nearly a week. I observe that no promise of compensation has been made. Its unfair that the devs get away scott free from their mistakes in not ensuring product quality. Oops my bad is not going to cut it when my money is invested. The fanboys that are protecting and sucking up to the devs most likely had mommy and daddy buy them the game. Thats why they dont see it as the moral majority does.

I have been playing since Friday night lag-free. everything has been amazing. the only issue is after the servers were taken down yesterday, all the Co-Op is messed up. Other than that this game is amazing. Will be and still recommending this game to all my friends.
