Update: Xbox 360 US Lag and Connection Issues

Possible troubleshooting info? :
I've noticed that I can continue playing just fine with these outages, up until reboots, so long as I avoid loading screens in-game. Like porting and such. I have also noticed that my connection seems to drop more frequently when the Live party chat is being used. (EDIT: I ruled out connectivity issues: down=27.1mbps; up=3.07mbps; ping=78 to CA server via speedtest.net) I don't know if the info is helpful, but being on a maint team myself, sometimes it's the little thorns that are the biggest pain in the side.

got the same time out error over and over and over for 20 minutes and the servers went down. XBOX 360

Yea, the servers seem to be down, which is a bummer seeing as Sundays are my only day off every week. Oh well, new MMO and all, was to be expected, just wish I could find out about server down times on the forums BEFORE they go down...might ease the pain and disappointment ;-)

I found a permanent fix for the Xbox problems!
1. sell your xbox (this is the most important part)
2. buy a PS3 and exchange the defiance xbox version for a ps3 version.
3. NEVER HAVE TO PAY $60 A YEAR FOR PERMISSION TO PLAY A GAME THAT YOU CAN PLAY FOR FREE ON ANY OTHER SYSTEM!
4. Enjoy all the glory of the sharper graphics and blueray movies as well as a HD that is NOT sold separately or charged extra for with the system purchase.

TADA problem solved permanently.

I would rather pay $60 a year to play online without having to worry about network servers going down and my personal information and credit card information being hacked...

I keep getting the "Your Connection to the DEFIANCE servers has timed out" error.
xbox 360. Also its good to mention as I keep gettng this error, a vast amount of my friends are actually online playing (Party chat confirmed this)

Anyone else? or is my console just trying to F**k wth my head today?
