I know one thing, if Trion doesn't do something before that box hits my doorstep, I'll be shipping it back for a refund. I'm tired of MMO companies treating their customers like dirt. Those companies deserve to fail.

well if you ordred from Amazon, Trion cant do anything about giving you the box, you have to talk to Amazon.....

and that is why you cant get ingame, becouse Amazon is being slow, not Trion fualt, why blame them? go ask Amazon.

Seems I'm not the only one unhappy. The MMORPG.com forums are starting to ramp up about this issue too.

So tell me again why the game would take a pre-order code, recognize that I have a valid preorder and then refuse to let me into the game? You can't preorder the game on amazon without buying the game in full, so they have their money. I have the client (not the beta client, that went out the window), but it says I'm not entitled despite the fact that it's telling me to claim my pre-order items.

Because you need to type in the retail code that you get in the amazon box to authorize your account to play the game. It's the method Trion has chosen for this game. It is general practice for a MMO to require a retail key before they allow you to play. Sure there are some exceptions, but they are just that, the exception not the rule.

becouse the preodre code is for the beta weekends, and the preordre items, and you can preordre. then get preodre code and then cancel it.
Againg, this is not Trion fualt, unless it is becouse the sent to few boxes to amazon compare to what they promised to sent them, you have to talk to amazone, it is outsides trion's hands.

They send the pre-order out to you ahead of time and you could easily cancel your order for a physical copy(because physical is what you bought) minutes after receiving that code. That is why you need the retail code that will be in your box. This is an Amazon issue. Once you get the physical box, you will have the game code and be in. It would be wise next time to bypass the middle man and order digitally from Trion unless you really desire the physical copy.

So in other words I should have simply not bought the game at all. The whole point of "preordering" is to have it in the hands of the player before the bloody game starts. Anyway, waiting for the box to show up and then going to send it back for a refund. It's pretty bad when I get more help from other players than from the company themselves. In fact, there's been ZERO help from Trion. Hope you enjoy the game folks, I'm just thankful I didn't have the box opened yet.

Actually pre-ordering has nothing to do with getting the game to you early. It initially was set up to ensure you would get a copy of the game on launch day when popular titles would release and that money was held by the retailer and not the developer. Now in the digital age they offer pre-order incentives and beta invites so you will pony your money up ahead of time. This gives them a hefty coffer to start with and decent perspective of how well the game may do financially. I am not sure when people starting thinking pre-order meant early access unless it was specified as a pre-order perk.

well it is in your rights, but seeing as trion has alot of ppl with real problems, helping 1 person who dont even seem to understand concept about who they bought a game from, your issue may have been moved back so they hade time to help the ppl they are payed to help.

And no, the point of preordre is to make sure you get a box of the game, if it happens to be sold out. Have you even ask amazon why it is late? how do you know it is trion fualt? other ppl have gotten theirs, maybe your mailman just sucks.
there is so many other good and real reasons not to play the game, but this is the dumbs one.
