Hotshot: Sharpshooting savior

I am struggling doing this bloody quest on the Ps3. Ive been at in for hours. Ive did every other hotshot but this...this game is extremely frustrating frim hotshots to nim shondu and alot of other things. I wish they would nerf the game and make it mire enjoyable than annoying.

No don't NERF it, just fix the bloody bug.
No game should be NERFED unless the developers have made a massive mistake.

OK now I'm going with officially bugged as I just hit 14K and should have at least got the bronze (12K) but I just got a fail.
Submitting a bug report and off to live chat to get them to advance me.
I know some people have managed to get through it but we shouldn't have to rely on the stars aligning in our favour to luck our way through, I already had to do that with 'Project Aegis Part 1'.
I will report back how I get on.

Just got Gold. You only have 100 ammo before you run out. Every single shot needs to be a 1 shot kill. The trick is waiting for enemies to run up close to your miners, they'll stop, wave their gun in the air leaving you an easy headshot. Shoot the regular guys anywhere. But you absolutely have to make sure you headshot Rocket Troops, Elites, and Shieldbearers. Keeping hold of your multiplier near the start is probably the hardest part as you have to shoot a few running targets but you can't miss these shots either. If you do miss just restart.

I had a score of 22,400 and I missed about two headshots.

it does not need to be one shot kills.. out of the 100 rounds you will not even use half of the rounds to get silver... just kept shooting regardless of what happpen... a hit is always better than a miss and the multiplier will still go up on kills.. just priorities your enemies and let loose on the rounds..

I've played my fair shair of shooters and I actually prefer 3rd person far far over 1st. In the top 500 global rankings in mass effect 3 and have completed dozen of solo platinum games. That being said, I find the majority of the challenges in this game damn near impossible and have started to simply ignore them outright. I play for fun, not for frustration.

I'm having trouble with this one to, seems my shots don't register sometimes and I'll have people left and the mission still ends before I even reach bronze. It's bugged

Does anyone know if that rifle you use in this hotshot is available to find? I'm ego 930 and never seen one. I don't know if it is or not but I thought it looked sweet

I'm finding this impossible, the recoil on the gun is pure daft and it's taking me all my efforts to just get bronze, never mind silver. Shame because it's the last one I need for the pursuit. Anyone got any tips?

One thing I did was wait at the beginning before you shoot the first guy. Let them start to pile up, like 15 seconds, and then that can help keep your multiplier up and as long as you keep that up you're golden

Why do people keep on pointing out the bleeding obvious??? Yes we know about the MULTIPLIER!!!

I've done this mission 4 times now and each time I've gotten well over 22k but I still get a fail because it's BUGGED!

As stated above the gun itself cloaks you, and the perk for 30% damage while cloaked makes all mobs a one shot instead of two (or melon) on the Elites. Makes it soooo much easier to get gold.

This definitely helped! Also the I added the extra damage from higher ground perk coz there's no such thing as overkill. <.<
