If you click on it when you turn a little bit to the right or left you will drift, it works especially well if you are boosting at the same time.

lol, sorry for the random. but hell Dragonuy your picture is fknawesome! havent had a lol since earlier. an it also can be done on ps if you cut your togglean brake at the same time you turbo. its awesome
Drift......use a quad and hit the boost and hand brake and turn you will drift in no time.. it seems to just spin around if you use any type of car but quads wrok pretty good lol

I drift all the time. Keep in mind that some vehicles are made for different purposes - my dune buggy thing for example, doesn't drift so well, but it corners like a BEAST. The car is fast, drifts well on some terrain, and takes out enemies great. My truck though is the best drifter. Its not the fastest, but you can put a nasty slide on it, get sideways and then gun it with your boost and it will powerslide like mario cart... its insane. (Talking about the Steam pre-order truck).
Drift in this game, why? This isn't need for speed. :<
I tend to avoid "drifting". It's far too slow to be useful.
