No class/race selection??? Ridiculous wouldn't you say?

Not to bash Trion or anything, after all, it is THEIR game and not mine, BUT... for those of you who have read about Defiance and have been brushing up on your lore, there is a total of 9 races(If you include the Biomen). I just think it's quite ridiculous that they didn't make it an option to choose from these races.

Honestly, I LOVE what they did with the races. All of the members of the Votan Collective have such distinctive background and stories to them and, and, they're just all unique in their own way! It'd have been GREAT to be able to choose one of them as a playable race.

For those of you who don't know of the races I'm referring to, they're the:
1) Castithans
2) Irathients
3) Indogenes
4) Sensoth
5) Liberata
6) Volge
7) Gulanee
8) Biomen
9) Humans

This game has/had so much potential! But they're just not.... doing anything with it. I REALLY hope they don't waste this beautiful idea they started. I wish they made this into an Open-Beta. Actually, it sort of feels like one, doesn't it?

With so many problems going on with the game, you wouldn't believe one paid $60 for this. Haha! After the first 2 hours I felt like I wanted my money back, I couldn't see reason to be still playing this in the next month- if that. Unless a LOT of things get changed quick(I can't even say fixed because it's that bad with some aspects of the game((it needs to be scrapped and rebuilt from the foundation up)) I won't go into detail, you know them), I see this game dying off very quickly. Many people are upset with all the problems, you can see it in the forums.

Right now, the only possible ways for this game to survive is either Trion gets their shtako together, or the show is just so overwhelmingly good that it just FORCES people to want to play the game like crack smothered over a crackhead.

Isn't that why the Season Pass and such, more Alien races and more content? I think all that and more is yet to come, we have yet to even scratch the Surface

You realise that the forums isn't exactly the best way to judge how many people are having problems considering the majority of people who don't have any are too busy playing the game? Also I'd like to know what aspects of the game you think are that bad that they need to start over.
