New Weapons = Crap

An odd thing hapenned to me a few days ago... I was skimming through the named weapons and thinking meh, meh, and then I stopped myself with the thinking that Rashere did have his hands on them so I'll give them a chance.

He's doing super cool things, and it's the first time in a long time that I've felt TRUST. Awesome.

Well there's essentially a x2.00 OJ velocity roll in every loot table now instead of just Detonators. OJ Accuracy on a AR? Yuck

Wish the rolls would go back to what they where before.
These new gun rolls and stats are awful. My DC9 is still stronger then any of them ;/

maybe if you concentrated more on the weapons rolls instead of weather or not they have a name you wouldn't be so dissppointed. My elec hb smg with oj dmg does almost as much dmg as a rad vbi smg with blue and oj dmg rolls. not to mention it frees up a roll for something else.if it wasn't elec it's be awesome

Yeah, that's not accurate. Velocity only exists on projectile weapons, just like before. The only ARs that have it are the volge ones that fire rockets.

I'm still planning to pull accuracy from the legendary slot anyway.

I should have phrased it better but I meant in comparison to the OJ 2.00 Velocity roll on detonators.

Agree that the new named weapons are pretty lackluster and mediocre. I wouldn't really expect them to be BETTER than the other named weapons but the fact is that they just don't stack up. most of the rolls are crappy. They are just in the wrong order.

Most of the other named weapons would make you say "WOW THAT IS SO GOOD!" (in some cases, the rolls were PERFECT -- you couldn't ask for anything better) but I look at most of these new named weapons and I say "wow...that's...disappointing..." a lot of Them have their most important stat catagory down in T1 or T2...

I haven't done the math on the weapons since I haven't seen the raw 5900 stat cards to do it, but the rolls are just mediocre compared to the other named event weapons. UNNAMED randomized OJs will be better if they have the right stats in the right places (T5 damage/crit for instance).

there are only 2 named weapons I'm interested in;
Precious, the flare gun pistol simply because it's unique in it's fire rate & capacity compared to the regular FRC Northstar
Heartseeker, because the rolls are good. T5 crit, T3 damage. You might want dmg>crit for pvp, but having the 2 best stats in the top 2 is definately good enough for me to like it.

Fate's Kiss and Final Caress can be easily beaten by a randomized OJ drop with the right rolls (dmg>crit>fire rate>mag probably)

Yeah, accuracy means little to me because, I've already gotten used to firing that particular weapon type, so it being more accurate at a higher rairity is really a waste.

There are more of us who like that roll than there are people who like oj accuracy rolls, I'm pretty sure of that.
