Still on edge about pre-ordering

This type of game intrigues me. I really like the idea of a mmos shooter and a tv show that goes with it sounds cool. I also like the loot system and general look of the game. However, from the posts on the regular forums and the posts on the beta forums which I will not mention, seems like the game still has lots of issues. Seems like every friday when they have the live stream of the game something goes wrong(cant team up, getting dropped at random, cant invite friends/co workers, these are the big ones that struck me). Anyone else have any doubts or wondering about the final product quality?

Thats understandable, and admittedly have some of the same fears. I just have to believe that all those problems will be hashed out, and to be fair those videos are all from alpha/beta testing, which is the point of having those type of events, to see what the problems are and what needs to be polished before going gold.

I would be worried with most MMO developers which don't seem to listen to players or adjust because of the beta.

Trion has been proven to be different than other developers.

I agree that there should be a 'faith factor' here in that they will make good on what they are selling. My biggest fear is that it is an MMO and that they are having issues. It going to be a huge game and if they have not got the game polished at least a few months in advance it worries me. Historically I have seen most games be shelf ready more than a few months out and just work off of player feed back in the last few months. It seems like they are still editing parts of the game, for instance they did not show the starting/tutorial zone on the live feed this night because they are going to be changing it dramatically.

This. I personally have never played a Trion game, but I know from community members in their other games, they make quality products. I have no reason to believe this would be different.

I am a skeptic about games, as I recently bought an arcade game gaurdians of ME, and it is riddled with issues. It is a great game though. To spend 150 dollars, which I will most likely just get the basic 60 dollar one, to me seems to be placing a lot of faith on the game. I plan on pre-ordering just before it goes live though to get the starter wepon, given there are no issues with the game.

I have put a lot of time in Rift (great game btw) and if i have to put my faith in any game developer it would be Trion.

$150 is a lot to drop on a game that you aren't 100% sure about. I honestly think $60 is a reasonable price of admission, considering you get the game, and the TV show...that being said, I'm def dropping $150. lol

I know quite a few people that are going to/ already have dropped 150 on the UE. Seems legit with the DLC to be included depending on how much a season pass, (BTW hate this buisness/money tool)costs. I will just keep checking the forums for updates and hopefully participate in the console beta/teaser.

The season pass it was really sold me on the upgrade, not to mention the "1200 bits" whatever that means. lol
