so...do you think they should remove outfits then too? I mean, they serve no purpose other than to be vanity items.

Outfits are already part of the game, no additional development effort is required. Adding more vanity items is a waste of time and resources unless players can follow people around ruthlessly murdering peoples vanity pets... and preferably said pets are on a perma-death system.

But they could be like a mini-game or weapon themselves. They could attack enemies and you would have to feed them and take care of them, to level them up and then overtime as you leveled them up, they would mutate into better stronger pets.

As long as they are open PvP and I can murder them at will on a perma-death system, all for it. Same rules for "role-players" as well. I'd love to hunt furries for fun.

Joke post, right? Seeing as players aren't on an 'open PVP' system, why would their pets be? Who wants to put up with people going around killing their pets and having to go back to x location to revive them or even having a 'perma-death' system where they have to constantly go and buy a new one cause of some clowns?

I'm for pets or NPC companions (hiring Mercs for instance) being added later if possible though. I imagine people would like to have Pows as item mules though. Would be nice if they functioned like pets from Torchlight where you could put excess gear on them and they'll go to the nearest merchant to sell the gear for you.

Considering I would prefer the entire game to be open PvP, no, not "Joke post".

Well, we're of different preference then. I'm fine with the current setup of having to option into PVP based modes and not having to worry about being shot in the back by some other player while on a mission.
