Again it comes down to preference. BTW... don't you have to go through shields first before that 150% damage can be applied? Could always have an elec gun for shields and fire gun for health as you can have 2 weapons per loadout.
Only some enemies have shields and radiation is still better against shielded enemies due to its armor bypass, thus outshinning electricity.Plus, stunned enemies should be affected by intimidation since they're having a spasm. Can't get more flinched than that.

The real bummer is that players don't get teamwork points while shooting at an enemy that has a active shield. Making the idea of using Shock nano to exclusively shoot shielded enemies less appealing.

Altras brought up in a thread that Scrapper's should be shield based enemies instead of HP. And I agree as Scrappers would then be armor plated and shield based and that would make them very different as noting else in the game would be like that. This would also make a whole enemy faction that Shock would be good to use against. Right now the way Scrappers are makes them pretty much Hellbugs as both are HP and armor plate based.

    ^^This^^

During solstice Strike event, my elec springer did ravages to the volge.
The stun effect also increase incoming damages.
The stun effect takes all nearby ennemies

Its weak but i love elec on hot weapons, can make TL10 easier.

You have 2 weapon slots. When fighting enemies with shields...an electric gun is essential. You strip shields with your electric gun then once they are gone, you switch to a fire nano wep to finish it off. That's Pro.

One hurdle for the Electric nano is Armor Plates. Even with the benefit of dealing more damage to Shields, unless you are critting the target in question, your damage output is still being suppressed by the target's Armor Plates. So, you go from dealing a potential 65% extra damage (from a 10% card output cut) to less than card damage if the enemy in question has at least 4 Armor Plates.

Radiation would deal slightly less damage than Electric vs. a Shield but feels like a better choice due to being able to penetrate up to 4 Armor Plates, trigger an extra 25% damage on the top end, and have a higher base damage output (5% on the card and 15% overall from Radiation burns) which does not get reduced by up to 50% once the target's Shield drops forcing you to swap nano effects. Radiation lives up to its reputation as the most well-rounded nano effect in the game.

While this is true, if the encounter itself had a diverse range of enemies, you wouldn't want to devote both weapon slots to fulfilling the same role.

Why use fire, i can throw a pyro nade out there and get increased health damage on everyone that catches fire and keep using the weapon i'm using .

I personally like electric and keep one weapon with me that has it. If i know i am going up against guys with shields i equip it because it works really well against them and the 99ers do not have diddly for health, after the shield is down the die quick but they have really good shields.

Every nano has its pros and cons and every nano has people that like it and hate it but since we have a choice in the game we can use what ever weapon we want with what ever nano we want and be happy.

And when you remove shields you're stuck dealing half damage. The question is why isn't a stun counted as a flinch?

I would highly recommend trying an Electric nano weapon that has Plate Slicer synergy on higher threat level Volge. I have a nicely rolled OJ Electric Quick Repeater with Plate Slicer and it can take out high level Volge faster than any other gun I own.
