Elect would be more viable if weapon swaps wernt so slow and sloppy feeling

For this reason i havnt bothered with elect/fire build. Its just easier to use rad and do 125% dmg to both

    Radiation

    95% Raw damage
75% Shield damage / 125% if target is electrocuted
100% Health damage / 150% if target is burning
10% Plate damage / 85% if target is corroding

Ignores 2.5 plates / Ignores 3 Armor Plates if target is irradiated
Note: Armor penetrated damage can only work on the armor plates that the target has, so it will be less effective once the targets armor plates have been destroyed.

I think DD might have this incorrect but I cannot find the correct info at the moment. I think Radiation bypasses only 1.5 armor plates and 3 when irradiated.

Getting back to the title: 'Electric nano.. Why?'

Easy! Electricity shreds shields. It's not only the most effective nano against shields, it's BY FAR the best nano against shields. Yes, once the shields are depleted Electric kinda loses it's purpose. True! But that's why you have 2 weapon-slots right? Once you've trashed the shields you actually CAN switch that weapon out and pull up another weapon with a different nano with just one push on the button. You really want one gun that can shred and shields and health and armor? Kinda easy and boring right?

'Not all enemies have shields'. I'm fully aware of that, thank you. I have 5 load-outs, i think F2P have 3? Still more than enough load-outs to create different load-outs with different weapons in the weapon-slots. And you dont even need all those load-outs! Imagine having a bio and a fire weapon equipped and going to queue for The Motherlode-coop. How hard is it to switch out your bio for an electricity weapon? And switch it back out afterwards if you want to play a Kenn Farm incursion? Not the lack of damage of electricity after the shields are depleted are the problem, laziness is.

Electric nano is so effective against shields it's rewarding to make an effort and switch it in and out on different occassions. Different occassions, different enemies. Thats why there are different nano's in the first place. To try, to find, to create your best set-up including the best weapons and the best load-out for each situation. Again, asking for certain nano to be buffed (or nerfed) is just sheer laziness.

Electricity is indeed the most unpopular nano ingame. People cant be bothered to make an effort to perform at their best and just count on others to trash the shields. Which is fine of course, but dont turn around whining that a Volge takes 3 full magazines of your precious SMG with fire-nano and you still havent depleted the shield of that Volge. Because fire vs shields dont work. Just like electricity vs health dont work. I think that is working as intended. And it should work that way too. Cheers!

^^^^ yup love my electrics for taking out shields. Electric nano slugger crits do well even at TL10 and then I switch weapons to something else. Digging syphon right now because I will basically never die, and apart from the constant drain effect I receive(doesn't ever need to proc just every bullet regens my shields or health a bit) CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG when syphon procs other players gain the syphon effect....right?

Actually... F2P only has 2. I know. I'm currently aournd 2.5k EGO and only have 2 as F2P. Wouldn't mind having that third slot but... *shrug*

I think I'll quote Bert Gummer from one of the Tremors movies.

A northstar flare pistol with electric nano is a fun option. You can see when it procs on shielded targets like '99ers, the fire slowly chews their shield until it procs then their shields collapse and the damage track suddenly drains. It is good for a lot of one shot kills that way. Even Volge go down reasonably fast with it. The ultimate would be an electric flare with plate slicer synergy.
