Really small chance from getting one from a lockbox, but its possible. thats how i got my 1st sword before i got any dlc, but its rare.

Another way is to buy the thanksgiving Sword called the CARVER which has a bio nano on it, but ppl sell them for more than 1 million scrip lol

there is another sword, which you could only get from PAX codes.

also i think from T4 lock boxes you can get a purple blade called 'castithan sword' or somthing really simple which does not require DLC. as someone in my clan used it for a while, before getting DLC, and getting the Chimera Fang

there is a gaming convention (not sure what else to call it) and Trion gave away codes, which when redeemed gave you a sword ingame... dont know if it had a nano or was tradble

If you're not getting the Thorn Liro dlc then your best bet is a t4 lock box or save up millions and buy a carving knife.

I can confirm that you can get a casti charge blade from a normal t4 lock boxs, i got an oj one not too long ago.

Honestly though, just buy the dlc for the small amount it costs and you will be able to just buy an OJ one straight off the shelf.

I have retrieved 3 blue castithian blades from elite boxes , so they are in there ...
