That being said it's worth warning a problem person at least once, sometimes they don't realize how annoying their behavior is and will try to fix it.

That's the best thing to do, You just warn them and tell them what they are doing wrong. If they change their behavior then great you can keep them in the clan, if not then you let them know why they are being kicked from the clan and then kick them. It may not feel like you're being nice but at least you tried to give them a second chance.
And, at the end of the day, we are doing the other clan members a favor by not making them as accessible via the clan quick menu. That is one of my biggest fears with somebody like that. They can just do a go to clanmate and drive people nuts.

    Thanks!

P.S. The avatar is very intimidating.

In an old clan I used to be in named Vigilant Justice (the clan died when destiny came out) the founder and another member (the second person would just sit silently in the background and listen and would confirm what happened in the discussion in case someone wanted more confirmation than one person on something said) would group up with people that were causing trouble then discuss what has happened and what needs to be done about certain people and any issues that come up with them.

It's not the bullet with my name on it that worries me. It's the one that says, "To whom it may concern".

Nice gets you nowhere. Treat those people like the ratchet fungus they are and remove them. Clans are for team players not leeches or users.

Three of us tried explaining the proper way to use chat, by forming a group or using private chat for 1n1 chat, but he is still cursing away on the clan channel. He is also a heavy breathing because killing mutants apparently makes him winded. Is there a way to mute somebody on the clan channel so he just talks to himself? I tried the "mommy" approach and now I might have to try something else...this clan management is more work that I anticipated. **sigh**

There is no way to mute someone for everyone else in the clan channel. Want me to get on and see if I can talk to him?

My advise, kick him. End of story.

One other thing, if you have a nice close knit little clan then keep it that way, you'll enjoy the game a whole lot more as you've already found out with this guy.

Alrighty, it is a done deal. We did have two clan leaders ask him to use a private or group channel (more than once) and even another member try to explain it. I also asked him to tame the cursing because it was an open channel. After he got over the shock that I had a mic and that I was female, he almost listened for about 30 seconds. We almost lost a clan member who likes to do his own thing but I talked to him to convince that I would deal with this and that he should stay so hopefully he will.

Man, I feel like a big meanie but there is no going back now.

I do appreciate the advice from everybody.

    Thanks again!

Just curious... What does playing baseball at the Monolith mean?
