Perhaps. We can only sit and wait for now.
I think we may be waiting a while from what this says, about releasing a patch later today.
EU servers have also been down for the last hour or so (netherlands-xbox)

OT: I love how you can type /dance . I just go up to random new guys at the crash site and dance to them
Arkhunters don't worry... servers will be up before you know it. . . Meanwhile this is a good opportunity to visit defiance.com and link your console. Once linked fill in the passwords for training and unlock some amazing extras in game (can also be done without linking whilst servers are resolved)... Happy hunting

Unfortunately, I did this yesterday whilst installing the game and it's previous patches. I've done all 120/120...
Patch was done at around 4am UK time and since then not able to connect whatsoever.Come on at least give us another update.Also follow @sledgehammer70 on twitter for any updates
