Can't change extra loadout slots to my main one

I have items i want to get rid of but I can't remove them from my extra loadouts. When i try to change any of the items to the loadout i am using it won't update and stays on the item i want to get rid of. Any ideas?

workaround = equip the "current" item you're using, then equip new one.. weird glitch
