Thread: Mod removal

    Mod removal

I think it would be much better if the removal of mods did not remove all the mods equipped to a weapon. This is not even close to RL since a stock mod is not going to be directly tied to a sight mod so there would be no reason to remove ALL the mods to upgrade. It would be far better to be able to remove a specific mod and upgrade that mod. Maybe even implement it as a replace mod function. Swapping in the new mod for old one that is destroyed in the process.

We seriously do need to have the ability to remove mods individually. Trying to swap out a mod for a better mod cost us all the mods that are installed on the gun. One of your selling points was to create a gun unique to you due to modding, but that is extremely difficult without prior planning and having the exact item you want to mod your gun.

It's kind of silly, I've started stockpiling mods for this reason, and just slapping basic Tier 1 whites in.

Furthermore, why are mods destroyed when you remove them in the first place??

Obviously you had the tools to put them on the gun, why not just unscrew them instead of beating the crap out of them to make them unusable? I was pretty surprised when I went to go try to switch a scope and I had to destroy the one I already had equipped. Makes no sense...

Totally agree. I find it incomprehensible that mods can't be removed individually.

What? Mods get destroyed when they are removed? That's ridiculous. =\

I'm ok with the mod being destroyed when taken of, but then currently we loose all mods. If we had the abilty to remove a single mod at a time then the loose of a single mod during replacement would be fine.

I like this system it's interesting and really makes you have to weigh the pros and cons of what you are about to do to your weapon and put thought into how, when, or why you do it...

If they were to add in some type of "single mod removal" make it cost a S**t ton of salvage so as to maintain balance. We wouldn't want it being too simple now.

Selective removal +1, let it get destroyed.. fine. But removing all of them...
Also - modded weapons should cost extra at store or refining Oo.
